Whilst it is hard being positive after watching yesterday’s match, i think the inconsistency of our play may result in getting the 12 pts we need.
Friday is winnable, Monday for me is not so 3 pts out of the next 2 matches is my mini target.
Quite agree Martin it is hard to be positive after witnessing yesterdays match, the only thing to do now is to focus solely on supporting the team. I am not sure about sacking JFH but whatever happens now his card is marked and will go at some point.

What about some positive predictions from you for the remaining games? As you claim to have these coaching badges...perhaps you could advise JFH where the points to keep us safe will come from?
After Saturday I am at a complete loss and in state of shock. It will take me a few days to recover my thoughts - please be patient. About Coaching badges am unaware that I had said coveted badges - please clarify

We have been sort of consistent all season, turn up for one game go missing the next, its been a continual pattern. The thing we haven’t done is stick with the same side/formation that served us well, until Saturday that is, and guess what? That honestly did surprise me because the system away had been working, although agree with the idea. Additionally with JJ out of the side we struggle even more. Is it possible to stay up, yes, will we stay up, unlikely. Our consistency levels and shortcomings without JJ would have to do a complete about face from that of all season. I don’t believe we have achieved the required win ratio from the remaining games all season and to do it without JJ is just too tough an ask. We will get points but can’t see it being 52, the other teams need to get the points to make that a necessity though, and that’s not a foregone conclusion. But I won’t be putting any money on that either. Realistic odds of us staying up IMO, 12/1 at best.

My optimism levels have risen slightly. I think/hope that Austin might get a bit of fight and organisation out of them. This is what I'd like to see:
ROD
Facey Taylor (assuming red will be rescinded) Poole Turnbull
Crooks Foley Ariyibi Bunney
O'Toole
Long 4-4-1-1 is the closest we've come to a decent system all season. The above is based on our draw with Blackburn away, one of the few decent battling performances of the season. IMO Austin needs to keep it simple, play players in their normal positions (Bunney excepted, but he's more of a left-winger than anything else anyway).

I fear 13 may be required. Simple then for Austin. 4 wins and one draw

Here's a question...if Austin gets 12 points, draws the final game and goes down on goal difference, is that enough to give him the job in L2?

NO. We should treat him like the failure he will have become and give him a trial by ordeal That's what we do best.

Yes, as it would be better than ANYTHING that's been served up all season... Austin was highly rated as a coach at Watford so let's see how he implements his ideas over these final 5 games. Let's be honest it ain't gonna be hard to improve on the dire football & lottery lineups we've been used to UTC!

No. There needs to be a proper selection process for the new Manager. And that holds true, even if we win the last 5 games.
