Let's hope it is a Good Friday for us, they don't have magic Ricky any more so we should kill them.

We even have a better top scorer than them!

Got to turn things around in this game, us fans will do our bit but will the players/manager turn up?

I have no idea who I would pick this Friday .
I would say it has to be players that show they really have the bottle to battle for a result and care about the club .
Only the manager really knows that .
Certainly it would include the likes of Crooks , Taylor , McWilliams and Buchanan for me .
Blokes that really care .

Agree totally with the above - Long simply has to play too as part of a front 2

I would presume we'll stick with the 5-3-2, but no telling.

Crooks definitely back in my eleven, but I'd still want to see McWilliams in the team. No doubt Jimmy prefers Grimes though, and then it leaves Berto/Ariyibi.

If Long and van Veen are fit then it would make sense that they both start.

I'd love a Tottenham/Chelsea variation to the 5-3-2 which would allow us to accommodate both Hilda and Ariyibi behind a striker... but probably too late to start trying even more tactics.

Having Crooks back for this game is massive. You'd hope he'd be fired up and eager to impress following his most recent suspension.

Hard to pick a team again as I'd have gone pretty close to what Jimmy picked on Saturday and look how that ended! More about the mentality again than anything but I would swap in Long for Boris. KvV should only play if 100% as he's not been anywhere near yet.

After last Tuesday I had some hope that we had the desire for battling in the team. After Saturday that hope has well and truly gone.

As a result I can't bring myself to pick from our bunch of delicates as you never know who will bother to turn up and give it a good graft.

I can't remember dreading a double header like this weekend like I am now.

All 500 at Fleetwood were bitterly disappointed with the meek display. I cannot now decide if its the Manager, the Players or a combination of both. Its best to remember that we were missing our two most effective midfielders. Anyway time is a healer and most supporters will put the Fleetwood display behind them and hope for a better result come Friday.

My line up would be

GK  O'Donnell
LB  Turnbull
CB  Taylor
CB  Barnett
RB  Facey
Mid Crooks
Mid McWilliams
Mid Foley

Att Ariyibi
Att Berto
Str Van Veen

With Ariyibi and Berto playing behind Van Veen and doing most of the running around, don't know if it would work but thats what I would go with and tbh anything thats got some fight and attack in it will do for me. Please no Grimes though.

That was one of the several things that I didn’t understand from Jimmy’s post match interview - he said that if he could go back to before kickoff in retrospect he would have made a number of changes from Tuesday. Despite there being an element of being wise after the event I find this a strange thing to say as the lineup from Tuesday - with McWilliams an enforced change for jjot - would have been fine if they’d have shown the passion, work rate and teamwork that they showed against Shrewsbury, it’s jimmys job to work out why they went out passive again and rolled over without a whimper.

Yep agree.

The formation and line up is almost secondary at the moment. The fact they came out all guns blazing v Shrewsbury shows they can do it. Why can't they do it every game?

They went passive again because JFH cannot motivate them. I seriously doubt they can understand his tactics and are confused by the constant changes. At this level they are hardly the master tacticians and need very careful explanation of what is expected and I fear that the message from JFH is so muddled that they throw their hands up in despair. Hence the shambles on the pitch. I wouldn't be surprised at another Fleetwood type performance on Friday with yet another home defeat. Charlton will be up for it with Lee Bowyer having them fired up.

I think it could turn ugly for Jimmy on Friday, Charlton beat a v good Plymouth side on Saturday and we are as flaky as you like, if they score first I fear a hammering in Bristol Rovers proportion.

Let us pray this doesn't happen, a lot of fans will be quick to jump on the team/JFH as it is after the dreadful season we have had.

We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and put the handkerchiefs away.

You think 4-3-3 would be best? Or is it a 4-4-2, not sure.
