Not seen that one yet, got over 80 of his films on DVD & I know for a fact where he will be filming in Bedfordshire next year so may have to stalk him to get him to myself Wink

He has been on Twitter the last couple of weeks as his book tour gather pace & is quite talkative to his fans.

Cider House rules I thought was one of his best recent films, for the older stuff I like The man who would be king.

Ryder Cup winning caddie Billy Foster was at footie training tonight commiserating with me about Saturday's poor result.  He's on a result as his player has taken a month off to let his calf get better.

I was in Harley Street today , with a couple of our contractors awaiting a delivery , when strolling along the path came Barbara Windsor. The 2 lads I was with had photos took with her and she stood and chatted with us for a couple of minutes. She was really pleasant and down to earth, considering that she must get pestered all the time !
P.S. It was the other 2 who pestered her.  Grin

Did you ask her whether she was in Harley Street to change her implants?

My first post on this thread....

Do Cobblers have any celebrity fans? e.g. Matt Smith (Dr Who) etc. Any who actually attend games home or away? With the thought that maybe we could raise club profile?

Jo Whiley  (Radio 1 dj) is from Northampton, in fact I'm sure her mother still lives in Kingsthorpe. She backed us at Wembley but unfortunately she supports Tottenham I believe.

Don't think we have anyone famous really who actually goes to games, just people who claim they support us when we have a big game thats in the media spotlight.

Matt Smith is a Blackburn fan, not a Cobblers fan.

I've known Jo's dad for well over 30 years and both him and Jo are Spurs fans , but her dad does occasionally visit Sixfields. The last time I saw him there he was with Jo and Steve Lamaque .

Jo was doing her best to keep her disabled in care as the home she was staying in Rushden was closed due to cuts.

Dan Roan (BBC Sports Correspondent) is a Cobblers fan and writes a column in the programme I believe.

He may not be famous with some of you, but Radio 4 and BBC 4 TV's Mark Lawson is a huge Cobblers fan, gets to nearly every game, home and away. Then, having effed and blinded with the rest of us, he goes down to London to do in-depth interviews with former Prime Ministers and big names in the Arts. It's worth catching some of his TV interviews on BBC 4, "Mark Lawson Talks To...." - perhaps we should arrange a wind-up and get him all set up for a big interview with someone famous, (he's recently done Tom Jones, Ian Hislop and Jane Horrocks) but send Sammo instead. It'd be very funny hearing the two of them, Lawson loves the Cobblers inside-out. The producer would never be able to shut them up!

I saw Taigh Purcell in the town centre. Have doubts that he'll ever be the same player judging by his limp  Cry

I think I saw him in the front row

Does anyone remember the now infamous Who Wants to be a Millionaire coughing scandal? I've just got back from a weekend in the Cotswolds. Today we (she) decided we were going to Cirencester to see the Christmas market. Who do I bump into selling posh jewellery? Major Charles and his snotty wife Diana. It was slightly embarrassing as I've got a chest infection. I think she cottoned on to the fact that I recognised her as I kept apologising for coughing!  Embarrassed
