I said that they "would be highly impressive", obviously indicating that theyre not likely but aspirational and the right mould of what we should look for.
You snarky t0sspot.
Don't quite get the obsession with Cowley. Yes he has got them up out the confrence and a decent cup run. But they have an almighty budget for league 2 (up there with luton and mansfield) so given that fact they have hardly set the world alight.

It will be John Pemberton and Dean Austin
Probably at about 11am on Tuesday.
I'd say that is a pretty fair assumption. Nailed it Alfred!

I call overachieving every season an absolute success .
I'd go Tisdale, Askey, McDonald or Keith Hill if any were available/possible.
Arthur Askey? Good suggestion. A lot better than the current incumbent! And he's been dead since 1982!

John Askey, silly! I should add that McDonald is Neil (Villa U-23 boss), in trouble recently for bullying and aggressive behaviour! Just what we need.

We always do better when we have a double act, Wilder and knill, the two Kevins, Hill and Broadhust and Im sure there were other successful duo's? Maybe force a wing man on Jimmy as those coaches who he has are not helping him and should be warned as when we get relegated they will be held partly responsible and sacked also. In every profession you often have a junior member of a team over rules and takes the lead, the manager who is then praised for delegation of duties and football is no different. When Jimmy upsets the squad morale after picking an unbalanced team then plays bewildering tactics, surely its expected of the senior coaching staff to step up and take control, pacify the situation and put forward new working ideas? Gross incompetence, stubbornness and much dereliction of duty by players and coaching staff has led to our relegation. Sack the vast majority of them.

You need a manager with a clear vision for the whole club. Someone who knows how to oversee the academy/ youth team. There are first team managers that watch and encourage their youth teams. JFH isn't one of them. Even when there's a youth team game at Moulton and the first team have finished training, JFH won't hang around to see what might be coming through. Good managers like Tisdale are very involved with young players. We won't get him but there are other managers with this vision. Managers like JFH are only interested in self-promotion, so they think if they string a few results together, they will get a bigger Club coming in for them. It's something KT should ask at interview instead of focusing solely on the 1st team.

You are totally right, we do need someone who looks after tge club from top to bottom. Add that to the fact young joey and shun could become really important players for us next season in league 2. Tidal is a decent shout but as you say not much chance. Who else would you put in that bracket?

We should be growing managers ourselves. Have a couple ready in waiting managing the reserves/youths. This is common on the continent.

What is the point of this thread? In case nobody has noticed Jimmy is still our manager and looks like he could be for some time yet. If he didn't go after yesterday, when will he go?
I THINK HE WILL SE SACKED ON TUESDAY.

Can't say who would be good (1st team manager) in terms of academy (besides Tisdale) but there are managers who are heavily involved with their clubs grass roots football. The Stevenage manager attended their U18s game the other day. The only managers I can think of who have been interested at NTFC were Sampson and Boothroyd. Unfortunately, at NTFC there has for the most part, been a disconnect between ist team manager and academy. It's up to KT, and whoever else is involved in the decision, to pick someone who can demonstrate that they have a plan and are prepared to have some actual involvement in overseeing it come to fruition. You are quite right about the potential of Joe I and James Goff is also has a lot of ability, but there are more coming through. Great result for the U18s yesterday!

Yes, got them out of the conference, a great cup run, into the League playoff spots, football that is attracting 9000 gates...but apart from that, what have the Cowleys ever done for us? Mansfield - big budget. Really? Interesting, any evidence. Seems to me the team comprises Oxford and Northampton cast offs!

Tisdale it is then!
Right, I'll just get on to Kelv and Tis can be in place for Tuesday morning. Beds, any questions for Kelv while I'm on the phone to him?

I don’t really care who it is just someone who is tactically astute and can motivate players surely it’s not to much to ask after the dross of page JE and JFH

Ive recently been guilty of buying my threads at matalan and George at Asda, so need some style guidance so whether Tisdale improves the team or not, it could help my wardrobe😎

If I remember rightly most on here (including myself) thought that Page, JED and JFH were all at least decent appointments. None have worked out, but all of them looked good enough on paper to at least make us into a decent League 1 outfit. As we almost certainly can't afford anyone with better records than theirs, it would probably be better to go with a young and hungry manager who has a clear, fresh vision, whoever that may be.
Even if JFH keeps us up I really think he has to go. We haven't looked like a real team in more than a handful of games this season and that is largely down to his tactics, inability to motivate and constant tinkering. That's his style and I can't see this getting any better in the future.
