I have it on v good authority that DA didn't want the job full time this was a few weeks ago, I will know more on Tuesday. For me it has to be Rosler or Alexander, we need a bit more experience, we still can't keep a clean sheet to save our lives.
I am not sure what the time frame we are talking about, but I would not be surprised if his views have not changed given the positive reaction from the players and the fans alike

What do people make of Mark Warburton being linked to the job? Very impressive at Brentford and Rangers

Didn't go to the Plymouth home game then?
We won 2-0 and we never looked like conceding...
Also in that time remember we have conceded 2 at Bury and 2 more against oldham. The defensive issues that have been a real achillies heal were there for all to see still yeterday. It seems a simple unwillingness or inability to pick up and mark the opposition costs us time and time again and I really cannot see austin has addressed those issues with what is at his disposal.

I don't reckon DA will get it.

I was told yesterday, Colin Calderwood, Kelvin Wilkin and Graham Carr were at the game. Were they there just to watch, or will they there to get a grip on the team prior to some form of management roles?? Calderwood teams bored me to death, but he jumped ship too, early, when I think he could have got us to the championship, wonder if he ever regretted that?? Or maybe there to help Wilkin.. just speculating, but seems weird given Brackleys achievements for Wilkin to be there??

Certainly, the defensive frailties are still there as are the failures in front of goal. If DA takes the Managers job he will need to ensure these two issues are sorted.

Kevin Wilkin has done a marvellous job at Brackley. Calderwood is a strong coach. With proper recruitment no reason why that combination couldn't flourish in League 2. Would certainly be some NTFC identity there.

It looks like DA is in poll position but according to the Chronic article he needs to know what are our owners' plans for the club. So do we all.

No decent manager is going to join us unless the club comes out with a clear statement of intent. Looks like KT needs to make a decision.

Calderwood still lives in Boughton so probably just fancied seeing a game. He stopped and flashed me out from around some parked cars the other day, proper gent.

That’s a good find mate - possibly an Austin/Warburton link up? Much as I’d like there to be some kind of substance to the Calderwood/Wilkin rumour I can’t see it myself - the chances of them doing their business in public at the game on Saturday are slim to none.

I would like Austin as the next manager and so would the players from those I have spoken to . It’s by no means guaranteed though at this stage for all sorts of reasons .

To be fair I don’t really care who the players want - it’s what’s best for the long term of the club that’s important.

You ARE RIGHT here, we won't win ANYTHING WITHOUT A STRONG DEFENSE
