DA has galvanised the whole club & created a special bond with the supporters in his short tenure...not an easy thing to achieve.

He's also served up far more attacking football than the last 3 managers combined!

His passion, positivity & honest interviews resonate with supporters like Sir Chris used to.

It reminds me of when Luton appointed another untried highly rated coach Nathan Jones

If DA gets the job, hopefully he can be as successful as him

This is pretty much my thinking too.

I think DA is a top bloke and a great coach BUT I don't think he is a manager, it's obviously the cheap way and I fcuking despair that we've given a two year contract to Cornell, not good signs of investment.
I will give my full support to DA if he gets the job BTW.

I’m not sure how we really make that judgement - what I do know “names” don’t work nor do those from the merry go round of lower division mediocrity- personally I do think the DA effect is more than new manager bounce back and he has done enough for me on and off the pitch to deserve a punt.

I agree about Cornell but even Evers has a point re Archer who I thought was a significantly worse GK and given Cornell is likely to be a permanent number 2 perhaps not that bad a decision

Heard something about the goalkeeping situation yesterday. This is just hearsay so don't hold me accountable if it doesn't pan out. It could be that O'Donnell has an exit clause in case of relegation. That's what I was told. Doesn't mean he will execute it and Cornell should be nowhere near 1st choice even if true.

As I have said on another thread , a number of players either have clauses that release them or have simply said they will not play in division 2.
I’m afraid there is a certain amount of jumping ship going on

If O’Donnell and facey are to leave I hope DA has their replacements at the top of his to do list - the thought of Cornell as first choice with a passed it/injury prone moloney  at right back doesn’t fill me with enthusiasm. I assume that bunney may well be another out of the door which wouldn’t be the end of the world.

O'Donnell's interview on the Chron website hardly screams 'I will be here next season' so I suspect he probably does have a relegation clause. However, someone still has to come in and activate that clause. He hasn't stuck around too much at his previous clubs so I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave.

The big worry is finding a replacement. Letting the GK position drag on and on last season was a shambles. It won't be long until the Mark Bunn rumours starts again

I can’t disclose information told to me in confidence , sorry .
The new manager , Dean Austin will soon weed out anyone that isn’t committed though and this will become evident soon I would think .

Longer this goes on, the more likelihood, it won't be DA....

If he's been offered the position & wants it, why would it not be announced yet?

Surely, any logistical issues can be finalised behind the scenes?

I can't work out tho, if he has been appointed as you say, why not announce it? Players with contract issues has no impact on us announcing him getting the job

Latest markets - Austin is 1/10 with skybet so suggests it will be him, but why not just announce it, so we can move on?
