Don’t know - you’d have to ask alton unless he’s on a wind-up.
I've never specifically said we shouldn't have sacked JFH but he was dealt a mishmash of a squad following the previous sackings. I actually do think it was a mistake to sack Rob Page so early on his contract. He was going through a rough patch but a bit of confidence by KT in his decision might have meant we would still be in League One right now. The sacking of Edinburg was also premature in my eyes and just seemed a knee jerk reaction to a poor start to the season. These decisions led to a ridiculously large mess of a squad, full of players who happened to have contracts that we couldn't offload. It also meant a good deal of the money that could have been spent on players was used to buy out managers' contracts.
It's ironic we are now putting our faith in a man who was appointed by JFH and was central to decisions from then on. That said I really hope he gets the opportunity to build a coherent squad, something no-one has been given since Wilder. Even he had to resist calls for his sacking in his first full season, which was always going to be tough following the debacle before he arrived.
My worry is that anything other than a flying start will get the boo boys out again demanding that Austin goes and KT again won't have the confidence to stick to his decision. The management sacking then continues with the inevitable spiral down to the conference.
