I should throw in the towel now, Dean. The players clearly have.

Not sure about his thoughts at the end of the interview,;might have to freshen things up a bit because its two hard games, a long way to travel Huh? For God's sake they have just had a week without a game. No wonder they have no fight in them, bless their little cotton socks the poor lambs.
Some fans will have worked today, travelled to Blackpool then back to work tomorrow. Then back on the road Saturday. Supporters have a bit more about them than the players or manager it seems.

Completely agree with this. Blackpool have just played twice in 4 days and they were at it for the whole 90 minutes. Professional footballers should be fit enough to play 2 games per week, most weeks. If they're not, then I would suggest they aren't fit enough, which is something I've suspected in some cases.

Don't buy the excuse that players are low on confidence. Think he picked the wrong formation and wrong team. The players had the chance to do something special last night that would have been remembered for a very long time. There's no point bringing in someone else now so Austin has 4 more games to show he's a fast learner. I wish him luck!

Exactly, why would they be low on confidence? Except the fact we're shipping minimum 3 goals a game, scoring 0 goals a game, without our captain and our most creative players have just left the club along with the second manager sacked in a few months.

He looked and sounded a beaten man - no defiance at all. Obviously failed to inspire the team second half.
Martin Smith thought the performance was awful with a number of players personally criticised.

Dean Austin did have a spell in management previously at Farnborough Town in season 2004/05. Yes, they did have financial problems and after he left went into administration. His record was 34 games, 5 wins, 10 draws and 19 defeats with a win ratio of 14.71%.

However, Jon Brady's record at Brackley Town was 306 games, 132 wins,76 draws and 98 defeats with a win ratio of 43.1%.

He's managed a team more recently (2009-15) and has a much better record. So, my question is why didn't Jon Brady get the chance ahead of Dean Austin?

DA: "Two things you can't give are desire and confidence"

DA: (next comment) "We are trying to instill confidence"
 Huh?

DA: "beat Bury and everything changes...the hunters become the hunted"

Been reading Enid Blyton's book of Clichés, Rhetoric and B******t!

The problem with making an informed decision based on your assessment is as follows: Austin took over a Farnborough side embroiled in ownership battles, court cases, and financial turmoil. They had finished bottom of the league the previous system, and avoided relegation due to restructuring of the league. Their already poor form dipped even more after Austin left, and they were relegated.
So, let's look at Jon Brady's record and situation: By all accounts he is a very good coach, and his record suggests he is a good manager. However, what needs to be taken into account is that during his time at Brackley, they were minted - at least compared to others at their level.
Let's face it, a club with money can have their pick of the best players. This is a fact that has to be taken into account when looking at Jon Brady's cv.
Is Dean Austin, or even Austin and Brady, capable of turning our fortunes around? I have no idea, but it's harsh to judge the bloke(s) after one game in charge. This being said, if they can't knock us into shape enough to turn Bury over, I think things will be a whole lot clearer.
I'll keep praying for a miracle. Sad

I don't disagree. And if they do we'll finish bottom.

I'll play the game down. Both teams are very nearly relegated already and rightly so. Bury will win but will end up relegated on the day  tying rope around us at the same time.
