But sooner or later the players have to shoulder the blame. You could put Fergie at his best in charge of this lot and the result would most likely be the same.
Line up the next manager NOW. You learn more about players when the chips are down than when you're riding high.
I reckon we need a total, not partial overhaul
totally agree, give new man a chance to work with this lot so he can decided on who stays/goes.

Did not do himself any favours today.

How many proper former professional players have been on Radio Noddy and questioned the professionalism of some of this squad to the extent we have heard of late? You can’t do anything about poor form, but effort is always a commodity that’s available. The research and assessment on the majority of this squad prior to signing has been a disgrace, they are simply not players you can afford to have at a club like ours. They need a club where they can hide behind real professional players who are prepared to whole heartedly commit themselves. We haven’t enough of those at our club meaning their true qualities have been mercilessly exposed for everyone to see. It’s not their fault, like telling a dog not to p1ss up a lamppost, they neither care nor are capable of understanding or changing, they are just doing what dogs do? However, in this day and age I thought psychological profiling was common place? You can’t tell me that some of the sh1t we have couldn’t have been exposed as frauds prior to signing? Perhaps our failing was nobody did profiling on Melville?

First half thought we were ok, until Blackpool scored. Again Long had another good chance to put us ahead but yet again did not convert. How many times have we said that this season. Second half we were very poor, and second best all over the pitch but van Veen and Hoskins need to take a long hard look at themselves

A bedraggled rag-tag of a side with no sign of any proper fitness or ability; the chips were down, it was a big game, and we were second - best throughout. Pitiful.

I'm past anger. I think I've caught a dose of the apathy that's running throughout the "team".
Where are the leaders?

We are now down . Start weeding out all the players who are clearing off at the end of the years or who are hasselbank flops . Pull back the loan players and get a core of made together that want to play football . This season has been nothing short of a disgrace . Scrap any contracts of people that don’t want to be here and start again . We are an embarrassment of a football team right now

but how many times have we been here, so many false dawns etc, it happens every ten years or so we will never be anything but lower league, i know it hurts but it's true.....
Winning the league in the manner we did should have seen us a competitive league one club. If we can't do it on the back of that season we never will. That's the bit that's really grating on me this time. I had hoped that our league 1 / 2 yoyo status would be coming to an end. We had a chance to push on and we have failed miserably, starting with that imbecile Page.

This is like deja by
Carr's team stormed the division, actually had a better next season than Wilders but then following season, we got stuffed 3 nowt in the cup at Rochdale in January then barely won a point the rest of the season and went down.
Basically, we have one promotion each decade, loiter a bit then sink to the natural level.

I can't really understand why we are waiting until the end of the season to appoint a new manager. Surely, someone needs to come in now to assess this bunch of time wasters and decide what's needed for next season. We are in a complete mess at the moment from the ground to the team. With the joy of league 2 football again, unless some sort of miracle happens.

I guess the thinking is that we are going down regardless and the pool of available managers will be much larger in the Summer. For argument sake if they were looking at Luke Garrard at Boreham Wood, would he want to leave now when they are on the verge of the play-offs? Would like to see them act swiftly once the season is done though, they should certainly be doing all the work behind the scenes on this now. They had time to assess the options when they appointed Page so let's hope they learned from that!

Getting Peeled by The Tangerines would now be more appropriate. Did not expect much and I wasn't disappointed.
