Watching the highlights of Norwich V Leeds....the Norwich equalizer got a deflection, looped high in the air, hit both posts before going in. Just a fraction of that kind of luck against Walsall could have seen us with something to play for v Oldham but it was not to be and to be honest, if any team deserves to go down it's us having been gutless for large chunks of the season. Rochdale may feel pretty hard done by if they go down.

History tells us that we would have got relegated next season in any case and I couldn't see anything since we have been in L1 that would have changed our 3 seasons max in the 3rd tier.

I'm over the dissapointment now and looking forward to chalking off new grounds next season.

To be honest Rochdale had a great cup run but three quarters of their league season was crap! It’s only in the home straight they’ve found any kind of form. Over the whole season the bottom 4 teams usually deserve to go down, although potentially someone may drop with 51 points, that doesn’t happen every season!
