I have seen The Cobblers win 9-0. So it is possible, mind you it was 1958 at the County Ground. Once every 60 years seems about right. Against Exeter if anyone interested.

The best I've seen was in 66/67 season when we beat Brighton 8-0 in a league cup replay...Now wouldn't that be a **** if that happened. Grin

What do we reckon for line up Saturday then?

No loan players and a couple youth players thrown in for experience (and crowd management...) before next season?

O'Donnell
Facey Taylor Pierre Buchanan
Whaler McWilliams Crooks Powell
O'Toole
Van Veen Hoskins

Does it really matter if we lose??

Can we stay up if we win 9-0?

Why only one up front?

Go gung-ho from the start, it would be fun!!

                                   O'Donnell

                   Turnbull       Taylor           Pierre

          Powell              McWilliams              Crooks

                                    O'Toole

                    Long         Lucassen       Hoskins

Subs: Cornell, Buchanan, Van Veen, Grimes, Barnett, Whaler, Facey

I see we have sensibly given them a further 503 tickets, so a total of 1,447. Another £10k income. Let's hope they stay off the pitch!

I wouldnt be surprised to see van Veen not feature at all on Saturday .
I see his tweeting in support of his ex team mates tonight .
Maybe he would like to trot back up the A1 to rejoin them as soon as ?
I have a suspicion Long may have played his last game as well .

No, we could draw with Oldham and they will still go down if Rochdale win.

I would much rather have Rochdale come down with us, I would miss that chippy over the road and the bar at the ground, it's a much better day out than Oldham, where the temperature very rarely gets above freezing even in the summer.
But I really want us to win on Saturday !

They think we're a tinpot club for not sending them even more tickets. They could have sold 2000 apparently  Huh?

Also, lots of claims that tickets have been bought in the home areas. Could be an interesting Saturday evening if that's the case.

Can't ever remember Oldham bringing more than 500 for a more regular game.

Hope we do em'

Put in another positive performance so that DA at least gets offered the job, even if he declines it....

Oh, and take Oldham down with us. Don't want them celebrating survival in our ground

I think Dale will beat Charlton, so Oldham will have to beat us

If we win this game, does it relegate Oldham? If so I may call off my one man boycott/ hill top protest after just 3 days😂
Im at the Roadmender on friday and at a loose end on Saturday ardernoon so is it Saints rugby or  the Cobblers Grin
Oh when the Cobblers/Saints go marching in.. do both?

It will only relegate them if we win and Rochdale get a result, I think a draw or win will be sufficient because Rochdale have a superior goal difference.

If the Saints kick off at 3pm you can do both, Cobblers match is 5:30pm.

Rochdale have a better goal difference than Oldham. If we beat Oldham Rochdale only need a draw.
