It’s hard to defend Thomas right now. Poor management appointments, too slow to sack JFH, no progress with east stand and the 5usport debacle all add up

Agree to some extent, the dithering in sacking jimmy has cost us our league 1 status. It should have been done 2/3 weeks earlier and in that time 3/4 games we would have picked up the point (s) that will be difference.

It is an entirely pointless thread.
I am by no means defending him or how he has performed as chairman.
The issue is, it's not like there is someone sat waiting to take over is it?

He has unquestionably taken us backwards and this relegation is both his responsibility and doing.
Terrible decision making time and again has cost us and I have zero confidence left in him.

I have to say I'm very unhappy about him allowing JFH to effectively relegate us. But... I am still happy with him as chairman. I just hope he appoints Austin as manager, so we can get back up as soon as possible.

I think he would have sacked JFH a couple of weeks earlier if it hadn't been the centenary of Walter Tull's death and all that went with it. I genuinely do believe that.

Exactly - whilst I don't think he's done much right and it IS his responsibility that he oversees our most pointless relegation ever - it should never have happened - the one major thing he did do, was keep us from going out of business - they were hardly queuing at that door were they - and I pretty sure there's no-one there now...

I predict he will be gone by pre-season. Now that the redevelopment fruit machine doesn't look like paying out anytime soon, coupled with a crippling wage bill….thats being covered by someone who doesn't want to be involved…I fully expect some big announcement to be made any time soon. Tonights not the night to play the blame game though. Too raw. Let the dust settle, have a few beers

The big decisions made by him have backfired, there's no doubt about that!
Hasselbaink was a PR stunt that went wrong, linked to the PR stunt that was 5USports.
Then there's the PR battle with the Council, trying to score points yet at the same time stating that there is no business case for expansion of the ground.
Well, there certainly isn't now is there....were back where we started, back in the fourth division, but as pointed out above with a crippling wage bill, a number of big-time Charlies on big wages.....and a loss of matchday, TV and sponsorship revenue.
How does KT propose to square that circle?
