No 'investor' would…
The word 'investor' always amuses me when used in football. Theres no such thing. UNLESS its for land.
To be honest mate I don't expect anyone to spend their cash on us. I never have. What frustrates me is that the current owners have doubled our cost base and I fully expect them to cash their chips at the earliest point in time now. Flog it for a quid, and leave some mug or mugs to pick up the pieces. Time will tell on that.
Id wager a large bet that in a few weeks time 85% will become about 15%. We shall see on that.
The likes of Everbright who was mugged off for years by Cardoza will no doubt claim all along that there was no evidence to suggest sinister motives. There isn't. Other than common bloody sense. And by sinister and Im not suggesting making a few bob. More a case of making a shed load and giving the East Stand the most basic of re-fits. Its pretty obvious that the reason why he hasn't shown any plans is because they won't go down very well!
Ive given him the benefit of the doubt and was supportive until the Chinese saga. But that more than tipped it for me. Total and utter negligence.
We need a local consortium or reasonably well off fans to bring the club closer to both the business community and local Northamptonians in general. A group of individuals who will command the respect of the council and work with them to finally sort out Sixfields.
Who those individuals are, god knows at this point. But Im with Beds now. Put the bloody club up for sale, advertise it properly and see who comes forward. Im grateful to KT for stepping in and effectively bailing us out when other options were limited (but we would not have gone under as you well know). But that goodwill is now over. We are a football team at the end of the day, and our team is considerably worse (and more expensive) than when he pitched up. Its time for him to move on.
I predict a large chunk of cyber Cobblers civil war fare in the next few weeks as various announcements are made. And that the 85% v 15% will turn on its head. We shall see Sir!
I have no idea what this "advertise it properly means". Every football club in this country is up for sale. There is no football club estate agents. Just an understanding as plain as the nose on your face, that they are all purchasable. Even Wembley is up for sale.

The rot started the day Rob Page walked through the door. I have said this so many times, but we had just walked league two, and I'm sure there were a few decent managers interested in us. But KT appoints Page, a guy who had done nothing with Port Vale, who then proceeds to rip up a title championship squad. If it ain't broke...
I thought that Rob Page did a reasonable job with PV got them out of the relegation mire and climbed the table. Also, I am not sure if he ripped up the side; he lost Ricky to Charlton and Adams wanted away. If I have missed one or two please advise.

Our failure this season is wholly down to Hasselbank and a selection of players that have just not performed . It has since emerged that JFH completely confused the players and lacked from a coaching point of view . His man management was very poor . Those performances at home in the new year against Gillingham , Rochdale , oxford and Rotherham condemned us and the team / management deserved the booing they got . The performances were a disgrace . KT has also been very quiet on the situation. I think like the rest of us , he is angry and lost interest . Quite honestly I couldn’t really care who the next manager is . I am sick of the whole sorry situation .

I'll tell you straight Drilling me old mucker... If any owner can't make something off that land, you can forget it. Nobody is going to spend their own money on us... Nobody.
you dont believe that do you.. There's 100s of organisations that need sporting clubs to work with for financial reasons.. Of which Thomas and co are probably not one of.

I agree with a lot , but the signing of Van Veen came from a campaign of pressure on the club to sign a striker when there was no one we could afford that was worth signing. He was signed to appease the fans and he made the team worse. I think we would have been better signing no striker , He did nothing and Long went off the Boil as soon as he arrived. I useless use the word boil lets say simmer...no wait I give up

Marquis wasn't signed - most fans and those within the club thought he was worth keeping Who did Page replace Holmes and Adams with? We are about to enter yet another transfer window needing 2 wingers and a striker. How have we still not replaced them?

Look at the players he signed Hanley Cornell Phillips McCourt JJ Hooper Gorre Revell (probably didn't need, we had Richards) Beautyman Matt Taylor (I give him that one)

How to become a millionaire; buy a football club (as long as you are already a billionaire).

There is only one thing that I can think of that is positive about this season . Shaun McWilliams . I think we have a home grown player to be really proud of . I cannot think of anything else at all that was good about our club this season .

This is so to the point (that Beds fails to acknowledge) - if this lengthy list of potential local benefactors were to approach KT with a sensible offer then I am sure he would be gone overnight. By sensible I mean one that recovers any investment he has made or profit he is likely to make (He is a businessman out for what he can get so you keep telling us). Given the club has not changed hands whilst I was writing I can only conclude either KT still thinks NTFC is a viable investment or there is no one actually out there.

If KT announced that the club was up for sale for £1, citing that they could not take the club any further forward, and invited offers…then there would be offers. So many people are sucking up to him, like they did with DC. *Possibly sleep walking into another Summer of discontentment. If people had woken up and smelt the coffee 3 months earlier than they did with KT (when there was ample evidence to suggest all was not well and far from it) then we may well have ended up with far more options than we did. KT took over because basically a deal had to be done pretty much there and then, and the local consortium plus Trust backed off as that was the best viable offer as far as I recall.4 Million pounds to invest and all that. Im sorry but if the poo hits the fan in the coming weeks theres going to be a lot of people who will look rather silly. I of course hope that the likes of Manwork, Beds and myself amongst others are the ones that look like tools but what I will say is Id keep your powder dry for now.

It might just be for sale for a pound but the overall cost will be significant higher, repayment of loans etc will push the cost northwards towards 3 million. Then there is the underwriting of running costs. 4 million should get you 2 seasons.

Any party interested in purchasing the club would want to address their wish to have a substantial proportion of those loans written off before buying the shares for £1.00.

So in short then you want a gift of the club not a purchase. That is not going to happen.
