As there is the thread with end of season great memories, what about disappointing away ones
1990-91 May 11 A V Hartlepools lost 3-1 L4.. Travelled up there with an outside chance of making the play off's, only to be.....
Well see the link
I recall the local WMC to have extremely cheap beer..!!
1993-94 May 7 A V Chesterfield Lost 4-0, L3 (L4).. Absolute s***e...apart from the halftime entertainment.. Finished bottom, but Kidderminsters ground not up to standard, (this was already known but there was talk of an exception)
Too young to remember the L1 65-66 game..

Leeds united in 2009. If memory serves it seemed pretty unlikely that we'd get relegated that day, but every result possible went against us, and we got pummelled 3-0 too.
Bradford Playoff Final All that build up and excitement to get absolutly slaughtered.

Not the final day but the first one that comes to mind is a wretched 0-0 at Chesterfield on a bank holiday Monday.
As last days go, Leeds was as terrible as it was inevitable. We only needed a point at home to MK on the Tuesday before, lost that and then everything conspired against us on the last day.

Not sure I'd label Leeds at Elland Rd (31,000) 'disapointing'! Possibly the most heart wrenchingly depressing game of all time!

That game in Hartlepool wasn't too bad! Dodgy around Hartlepool on that hot day...pie n peas in one pub turned out to be a mini-porkpie and processed peas in a microwave (yes they had them even in those days!) Few of ours dressed as the Blue's Brothers joined Pool fans in the pitch invasion! Lift to York and in Peterborough (connection to Leicester) by around 7pm...just in time for the Posh hordes who'd been promoted at Chesterfield!

Rochdale 4 or 5 Northampton 1 or 2 1980 81ish. Several beer buses from several pubs went up there to support the Cobblers who had already needed to re apply for re election . (Google it you young uns) After Rochdale scored there 4th, our supporters help them celebrate by invading the pitch!
Wrexham 1986/7 was an ok day out.
York 1977 we got a bus from the town hall with some proper nutters on it. Won 3-0. On the way home our bus got surrounded by leeds fans at a service station where our little group of 16 year olds were told to get off the bus and fight or we wouldn't get home.. we got off and got stuck in as it was the safest option!

So you went for the long term sustainable growth option with the Leeds fans then?
