Who cares who leaves? Seriously....any of them can leave! We got relegated on their watch.

Would some of these players get other contracts at L1 sides? Aside from a couple of players our squad isn't exactly screaming L1 quality.
I would say the only players good enough for league 1 are
ROD
Taylor
McWilliams
Van Veen
Possibly Facey
Possibly Pierre
JJOT

I have never stated that anyone has put in a transfer request specifically .
I have said that players want to leave and have told the club this .
Other people may have mentioned transfer requests but not me .
I don’t need to justify anything to you .

Nobody needs to justify anything to anyone however anyone (whoever it is) stating or intimating things as facts should be able to confirm their sources or at least provide a level of assurance to convince others that their 'facts' are genuine?  There are some posters (not many) who I believe their words more than others.  I would like to believe all that is said but I, as probably others are as well, need a level of convincing before doing so.  If it is 'only' opinion, then I will treat it as such.
My information invariably comes from this board as, aside from the Offy and C&E sites, there is very little in the way of alternative source to be able to assimilate about 'little old Cobblers'.

Regarding who said what, as I said earlier there is so much information and mis-information flying around "it is confusing to us not ITK" and I apologise if I have attributed something to you that wasn't.

Id expect Crookes to leave. Too good for league2, has real potential and is still very young,  we'd probably get a decent fee, wages probably too high for us at that level etc. Plus I've had a bit of information given to me which I won't go into more detail on here that backs this up. I *guess it will depend on who comes in for him, how much they offer etc.

Id also be amazed if VV is here.

These are logically the two Id look to ship out for very different reasons, to bridge the loss of income from league1 and league2 and also to enable us to hopefully bring in a shooter who wants to be here!

Obviously there are others, but the likes of Bowdith, Kasim, Waters…the usual suspects…may well be alright in league2.

I will also make the bold prediction that Sam Hoskins will come good for us next season. I've always said theres a good player in there somewhere. I also really like him…because for one he bloody tries hard. Very hard. I've never ever got annoyed with that type of player, its the lazy b@stads that wind me up!  Grin

Crooks is a bit of a luxury player and never got close to the level he played at Accrington. I have doubts about his fitness and his disciplinary record isn't great.

He hasn't got great pace and I've not seen a huge amount of creativity so I wouldn't be too fussed if we got rid but maybe L2 is his level.

it should be a given that all players try hard - that isnt an asset, it should be the starting point.

simply trying hard is a start, but it isnt enough.

not necessarily referring to hoskins on that point, just in general really.

Similar to discussions on other threads, it may well be that L2 is Crook's natural level. I thought he was excellent against Plymouth and that was the first time I'd seen him in that role.

He was also impressive against Walsall running their full back ragged.

I think Crooks is an excellent player and was our best performer for the second half of the season .
He was also playing through injury much of the time .
I sincerely hope he stays with us , although I would say he should score a lot more and tends to miss sitters
