Oh well, in all the throes of Thomas/Bower v NBC, just had an e-mail from NTFC...Looks like they are taking the Academy squad to Oxford City!

Happy enough with that!

So its alright to risk the young prodigies, the future of our football club, on a dodgy surface but not Kevin Van Veen?!  Grin

It's a really good surface tbf! Inaugurated with the visit last summer by Oxford Utd, on a hot Saturday, attracting a record attendance at Marsh Lane of 2,100 odd!

A pre-season friendly away at St. Albans on 7th July.

The Cobblers Independent coach used to stop in St. Albans en route to Barnet away games and it has a decent selection of pubs.

Went there on an absolutely freezing Saturday last December with OCFC.
Some good pubs and a decent old skool ground!

Delighted with this one,  I emailed the club and suggested we play them as my mates Nan lives round the corner from the ground, so he can visit her before the game.

Don't remember any Indian take-aways near the ground, the Mermaid pub up the hill, away from the station was really good though!  Wink

gutted - i thought we were going to play a game near my sisters husbands mate so that we could pop round and see them.

sometimes the club just dont think about the fans

not too worry, i will get back to coming up with ideas about how easy it is to build a stand, then shut up when i have a chance to take over the club and sort it out.

St Alban’s is Dean Austin’s team, I guess that’s how this one came about.

That's not bad. Had many a drunken night out on St Albans and have quite a few mates living there. I might pop along to this one...

Correct. He emailed the club because it's his sisters birthday that day and needed a lift down there.

Clashes with one of two possible England quarter finals, if we get there.

Good fixture, played many a hockey game at Clarence Park against St Albans. We used to refer to them as displaced Cockneys!

What are you trying to say; bearing in mind there is no Ice Rink facilities at Clarence Park?
