If I was a Sileby player... I think I'd be swerving this game in favour of watching England in the pub.

Yup. I think I've been to every NTFC friendly at Fernie Fields over the years, but I won't be going this time.

Anyone on here who is?

This game should make the Supporter of the Year nominations very easy this season!

big shout - considering you then go into detail to tell us that it isnt?!

Really? Were you looking for a bite, or do you need to take a step away and try engaging your brain?
I'll try and explain it to you, as you obviously struggle with understanding. If an England friendly was being televised on the same night, then I'd be at the Cobbler's game. If the Cobblers were playing any sort of competitive match: again, I'd be watching them. Comprehend? Or is it still too difficult?
It's the first friendly of the season and against moderately poor opposition, as opposed to a massive World Cup match, FFS!

My loyalty lies with NTFC, always has over England. However, if you are asking about the Cobblers winning a friendly away at Sileby or England progressing in the knockout stage, then my eyes will be on England...much like any sane Englishman.

ETA: Seven of us were heading to the Sileby game. That number now stands at nil!

I never doubted your loyalty but sincerely hope you are not related to Meccano?😎

A couple of observations from the latest batch of pictures from pre season training - Aaron Pierre is an absolute unit and van veen is still training with us so it doesn't look like he's activating any clauses anytime soon.

The only way VV will stay is if he doesn't get a decent offer elsewhere. The club have told him to get a move on and get his exit sorted.

Kazim is the obvious one. He's playing the game of being as disruptive as possible in the hope the club will pay up his contract.

If we did a pre-season tour of Australia as I suggested there wouldn’t be any of this clashing with England games nonsense. Every game including Columbia bar one has kicked off at 4am. On the downside I am absolutely sick of getting up in the middle of the night to listen/watch football games. Australia is sh1t for your typical football fan. Wanted Down Under don’t mention anything about this do they, the c***s!

This must apply to the entire team?

Maybe he stands at the side and throws things at the others, or perhaps he nips in now and again and runs off with the ball?  Grin

There also wouldn't be a whole lot of us coming down for the friendlies, either! Grin
