Poor choice, horrible kit. Why were fans not given a choice of designs/colours upon which to vote? What rankles most is that our club colour is claret yet we go with a vile red.

Why red ffs...I like a yellow away kit but trims must be either clarey or white...

Surely, an email to season ticket holders/members to vote on possible choices of home/away kits would have been an easy thing to have organised...

Pretty sure no-one would have voted on this awful Watford/DHL combo!

Agreed with what's already been said about the away kit - awful!

basic off the warehouse shelf kit with our logo's pressed on, lazy work all round, just proves we have no muscle with these big corporations to even get our own colours made up.

There is a tweet from Jeremy Casey where the trim looks more claret than red...or i'm just colour blind!

Shambolic choice of kit. Red trim is mental.

Why red?! The colour red has no connection with our club what so ever. Why red?

I presume red because it saves money.......wrong decision!

BUT I believe the home kit is a bespoke kit for NTFC and whilst costing the club more will NOT cost the fans more.

Terrible , just hope the home shirt is something to be proud to wear. My wife always buys me a shirt for my birthday in August , definitely won’t be this one!

I think the red trim is outrageous for a team with claret being our colour.

If you are reading NTFC...utter s**te!

As said by many, ill thought out, ill considered, of no connection to Northampton or its fans... pathetic!

Try seeing how Torino FC keep with tradition, their city...and style!

To match the rage that seeps out of social media over anything the football club does.

We will never get anything other than their bog standard designs and colours .....time to ditch NIKE.

Tradition means a lot to fans.

I truly hope no-one buys this kit.

Now wondering what abomination  will be offered up for the Home Kit.

Was last seasons home shirt a bespoke design, or was it teamware? I haven’t seen the design elsewhere.

This away kit though, it’s a shocker! The club should take it off the shelves immediately and send it back to get the red changed to claret.

Why don’t we consult the fans anymore, other Nike teams give a choice I think

It might be a bit of a shocker but over the last few years we've had pink, white and black, yellow and black, the orange and purple 3rd kit last season and a black kit. All these kits didn't have any claret in them as far as I'm aware. If you don't like it don't buy it, hopefully the home kit will be more 'traditional'.

Edit. Anyone remember the light blue kit a few seasons back?

Awful. Hopefully meccanostand will contact the club and offer to design next seasons away kit.

The point is that the shirt would have been pretty good with claret instead of red. I’m not dead set against red as such but it looks pretty s*** with the yellow imo. I’m pretty convinced that would have never got chosen in a fans vote.
