Oddly the players most thought were going to be marginal this year were the ones making the most contribution to this game. Foley was excellent in his defensive midfield role, Bridge was inventive and set up the equaliser, and Cornell who at times was operating as a sweeper was faultless. Whereas key players were off their game. Taylor made a hash of trying to prevent Tranmere's opening, Crooks had a curates egg performance, giving the ball away in dangerous positions, Facey contributed little going forward and Van Veen had obviously left his shooting boots at home.
So overall Cornell gets my vote.

Foley for me but special mentions for Cornell - his decision making was spot on all day and Bridge who also had a very good game.
