When I was just starting to follow the Cobblers in 2000 aged 8, I would always read and watch Carlo Corrazin on highlights on the local news. so
As all kids in the playground they want to be a striker, so when I went to Sixfields for the first time in the 2000-2001 season i was surprised he had moved. As many of you would have seen him in the claret shirt, were you surprised he didn't stay? Every so often there might be a thread of cult heroes, or all time great XI or forwards but he is never mentioned? 30 goals in 78games, Canadian international.
Enlighten me.

There was also Paul Rachubka, a decent goalkeeper, played for Huddersfield and Leeds amongst others. Born in the States, although only represented us on loan from Charlton Athletic.

Can't think of any foreign born keepers contracted to us on a permanent basis apart from Neal Kitson and Freddy Hall, neither of whom would have been first choice.

Alan Starling played for us but would migrate to play in Africa or was that Don Martin or Peter HAWKins

Sparked my interest this topic so I went to the trouble of a bit of research for a change.

What about these probably long forgotten 2? Felix Staroscik from Poland, 19 goals in 49 games in the early 50s. Or how about Eduards Freimanis, the first Latvian to play English professional football, who played for us for a couple of seasons around 1950 and got 2 caps with Latvia and 2 goals on his international debut apparently?

And there's me thinking he couldn't explain it because he wasn't aware of what had gone sailing over his head in the first place... Grin Cool

Coolcat was watching 'Eddie' Freimanis and recommended him to us...  Cool

I cant think of many players who made unintentional appearances.  Grin
Well, with the quality of some of our players I'd be amazed if they meant to play football
