This is largely down to JFH. It cost us money to cancel Ingram's contract so JFH could bring in an inferior replacement. The idea was to free up a loan signing but we saw how that worked out. I hope Turnbull's the other player. He can go if anyone wants him.
I hope our owners look at their part in this. With the best intentions, they made an enormous mistake sanctioning signing players, where a transfer fee is paid, for them to walk away for free a few months later. I accept this was done for the right reasons but a club like ours needs firm guidelines in how it manages its finances and expenditure.
Agree but I am sure that the owners were, at that time, confident that JFH was going to avoid relegation because he had said he would if new players were signed.
A mistake or a bad g.amble in hindsight, however at the time the odds appeared to be in the clubs favour with us safe and RO'D eventually being signed by another club for a fee in the future .
We were relegated, we lost and we await to discover who else was brought in on similar 'JFH' terms.
