I,ll stand corrected on the exact dates, but i believe that after the 86 world cup the french fa decided to make a huge investment in the nations youth trainning, it cost millions and took twelve years to bear fruit. Geoff Harrup has had a modest budget and just four years after starting from scratch. I understand that some of you are struggling to see the big deal about his departure, but as i,ve said earlier take a look at some of our youth teams, it will bear great fruit in the coming few years, unless of course it all goes pear shaped in light of GH,s exit

Let's put this one is perspective - I think GH did a very decent job for a small club - I may be wrong but I rather think the more senior players that have moved onward and upward were with the youth set-up long before he arrived. He's a decent bloke and also I understand was instrumental in raising significant funds for the youth set up - but the clue is in his press release "more responsibility" - he is unlikely to break into first or reserve team affairs here - Torquay have offered him a chance to do just that and reality is that they are probably more skint than us rather than the myth being suggested that they are a club going places.
Good luck Geoff but I think we will survive

Sean Parrish is an absolute legend and well respected by all at the club, good luck to him.

Well said Ben.
The very best of luck Sean, especially trying to generate all that sponsorship of the system.

Well with the complete lack of signings so far, lets hope Sean has instant success, as in, within the next month...

The french youth set up was a rip snorting success at the world cup wasn't it?
Domenech took a geriatric squad to the World Cup, only one player under the age of 24. He took a load of stick for not taking Karim Benzima, and there are half a dozen others not in the squad who will be household names in the Prem soon like Sofiane Feghouli (Man City), Blase Matuidi (Arsenal) and Mamadou Sakho (Man U) to name but a few. They also lost Marouane Chamakh who opted for Morocco instead. France's failure lies fairly and squarely with Domenech, and his inability to control player power.
