Goff hopefully.

It won't matter. They are all good enough for this level. Embarrassed

Very true, but would like to think "one of our own" will get some decent pre-season minutes to develop pending a loan move.

Coddington will be moved on I think.

Wasn't Coddington brought in as a developmental player, same as George Smith and Billy Waters? Smith already sold, Waters didn't get a look in and was shipped out on loan. Hoping Coddington stays and proves his worth (same as Waters). What's the point in getting rid of developmental players so early?

Maybe a youth team player at full back.

We don't have a developmental squad anymore, or play reserve team football (as far as I know), meaning that unless these players go out on loan then they are unlikely to get any better. It could possibly be an extra wage we cannot afford if they don't.

Coddington did well at Wrexham but then went on loan to a team at the bottom of the National League and was benched whilst there. We are likely to sign a new number one, so out of four keepers he would be the one I would let go as Cornell is under contract and Goff is still very young with plenty of time to develop (Coddington is 23, Goff is 19). Plus Goff is from our youth team and I'd like to think we can show there is a route from there to the first team.

Smith was let go to free up space for Bunney to sign, I agree he didn't get much of a look in. Would not of had any game time with us though, and with a massive squad was a wage we didn't need?

Waters was signed after a great goalscoring season in L2, but did not produce in his short stint at L1 level and then didn't seem to set the ground alight on loan at Cambridge (although their fans seem positive about him). I'd like to think Deano will give him a good run in pre season and we'll hopefully see more of him this season but at the moment he will be behind Williams and VV.

Not sure what the answer is, but I don't think we are in a position to buy developmental players unless they can develop in the first team squad.

Doesn’t look that exciting a game going by commentary. Hope someone actually is there to report.

What was our previous Sileby results?

HT: 0-0

Going by James Heneghan's Twitter commentary, not a great game by any stretch of the imagination. Sileby went the closest with a shot from a free kick which was well saved by Cornell.

I just hope they get everything out of the game fitness wise that they need (and no injuries) as it sounds like in every other respect it's been a complete waste of time both on and off the pitch.

It's the young lad Morgan Roberts who has scored from Danny Powell's cross.

1-0 to the Cobblers.

He looks a decent prospect - I just hope he's bulked up a bit as he looked about 15 when he came on against Oldham.
