2nd pre-season friendly.

The kick off time has been moved forward to 12.30pm to avoid a clash with England's quarter-final game with Sweden. Good decision.

Anyone going?

DA has said two different teams for each half for this game, same as at Sileby in the week with possibly different combinations all over the pitch from the last game.

Four Cobblers fans on Sky Sports News this morning bouncing up and down wearing  an array of NTFC shirts. One of them getting married today and is getting the 2nd half of the England game shown at the reception. The filming was in the Bedford area... WAS IT YOUR BOY?

2-0 to Cobblers at half time, both goals scored by Daniel Powell.

Matt Crooks did play the first half today, two different teams for each half as was the case at Sileby.

Looks like van Veen has picked up an injury, just been replaced by Cam McWilliams.

He’s a defender isn’t he? Waters got a 4th, young Morgan involved again.

He is a defender (C.Mcw) but can play in midfield like his brother. Waters was probably pushed up top when vV went off. And look he's scored two goals  Shocked

Final score St Albans City 0 Cobblers 4

I remember seeing S McWilliams play at Sileby two years ago and thinking he was good enough to make his breakthrough that year. Anyone who has watched either game get the same vibe from any of the Academy lads?

Just watched the highlights of this one - nice to see the pressing game still in place and I know you can't take a lot from these games but some good harrying all round that led to a couple of the goals. Would still prefer Waters down the middle but can't complain if he notches a couple like this.

The pitch looks dreadful, maybe Chelmsford do have a legitimate reason to call off the game tomorrow night.

Probably a lot to do with the dry summer we're having and lack of a sprinkler system etc?
