My biggest concern at present is that Austin has lost his "zip" in the latest interviews released on the club-site & youtube. (Look, you guys, I'm not talking trousers, OK?)
End of last season, he was all adrenaline & positivity. Now, he seems down-beat and almost dismissive in his interviews.
Am I too sensitive a soul, and have read too much into that?
My second concern is that some of the ball control in the friendlies has been s***e. The football boot should be a magnet to a football..... not a f'cking random repelling agent.....

To be fair, there's not much about friendlies that gets the adrenaline rushing.
Nor the performances in them so far.

I not so sure sometimes one of those would cause me a little less irritation 😉

My time goes back as long as yours so more than irritating - maybe not in the eyes of the law but to me it is disgustingly wrong- monies deprived from the people of Northampton in general and the football club in particular. I think it is truly disgusting these characters can get away with it time and time again - although in general I'm slightly less angry about the 10 million but more so on the number of small honest businesses destroyed by this type of "business" behavior.

Totally agree, small businesses left helpless at the hands of fly by night companies. Its just that it was a matter of how much of that £12m would actully benefit our club and if we are honest, expecting anything less than 50% creamed off wouldve been seen a successful outcome. Getting nothing was a kick in the teeth but not wholly unexpected.

All posts that suggest, or directly imply that a crime has occurred are going to get deleted. I have dealt with some of these guys solicitors before. They will definitely be watching, and they will definitely pursue you. No ridiculous alleged or apparently comment either. I'd steer well clear of it all.

Totally agree with this, we all know what happened at Blackpool and even though I don't post a lot I do visit the site every day and would hate to see it forcibly closed down.

Since promotion the club has stood still both on and off the pitch. The consequence of this stance is that you inevitably go backwards and often quickly. However you shuffle the pack of players we currently have, and there are lots of suggestions as to personnel and formations on this site, the simple fact is that the players are not good enough individually (despite what we are told) but more importantly in a team game, not good enough as a unit. I’m sorry to suggest that perhaps we are seeing a club coming to the end of the line, however painful that thought maybe. There are a number of clubs in the league below us possibly more deserving of our place in the League. AFC Fylde and Salford City to name just two, clubs which have ambition, workable plans on how to achieve that, sound financial backing, a professional outlook and most importantly of all, a real desire to succeed. We have no divine right to be where we are and yet I fail to see how without those qualities NTFC will continue and they seem desperately missing at the present time. I have no idea whose ‘fault’ this is or have any revolutionary plan to turn it round, but it does not seem that those in charge of the club do either, and for that reason we are like a ghost sailing rudderless in dangerous waters. All things come to an end and although I desperately do not want to see that happen to NTFC I can only foresee that inevitability at the moment

Athena - what a load of baloney! You are probably a rogue supporter like Random and Others or MK/‘Boro making hay while the sun is out!

Oh joy... I've earned the wrath of Everbrite. No rogue supporter I'm afraid but one of 55 years (and season ticket holder for 37/38 years, not sure which) who is genuinely concerned about the future direction of his club.
