Missing the first game this sesason, due to ticking off one of the bucket list with a trip to New York. my first trip outside of Europe!
Any travel tips anyone has picked up - where to eat, where to drink, what to eat, what to drink, where I should go where I shouldn't go would be welcomed.
I know there's a million youtube travel blogs about the Big apple but interested to hear if anyone from here has any little nuggets for me.

There's the obvious tourist stuff that's well worth doing - Central Park, the Empire State Building, that sort of thing.
The Circle Line Ferry is worth a trip as well as you get a great view of Manhattan island from the water and I also really enjoyed walking along The Highline, which is a disused elevated rail line that's been converted into an urban park.

In terms of restaurants and bars, you are pretty much spoilt for choice. If you want something a bit different though, Ellen's Stardust Diner on Times Square is worth a visit. The food's decent but unspectacular diner fayre but the waiting staff are all aspiring Broadway singers who burst into song at varying intervals. It's as cheesy as hell but quite good fun!

We liked this bar in Bell's Kitchen too: https://www.nybeercompany.com

Taking the staten island ferry & walking across Brooklyn Bridge are must do's and completely free...
Underground is really cheap & easy to navigate too...

I've been loads and always get the airtrain from JFK airport to Howard Beach station which then takes you straight into Manhattan...all for $7

Awesome place, you'll love it!
