Should be a good crowd, Lincoln have an allocation of 1500 tickets and as of this morning have sold 1300 or so (cue ground size arguments)  Wink

I wonder if Lincoln still have a load of d*ckhead fans, always looking for trouble.

PS If the do, will the Northants Police be filming the West Stand again  Smiley

FSF did a Freedom of Information on policing. In League 1, 6 out of 10 most policed games were at Sixfields last season. This one will probably be well policed too.

Big test for Austin and the boys against one of the title favourites.

They've certainly got a load of glory hunters - average crowds

2015/16 2600 (midtable nat lge)
2016/17 5200 (won nat lge)
2017/18 8800 (league 2)

The 1500 tickets never looked like being enough as we took more than that to Cambridge on a friday night and Barnet and Accrington amongst others last season and will not get as far as general sale on Friday - seems those centre blocks of the East Stand will be a good mix of home and away fans Grin

Glory Hunters, returning old fans plastics newbies call it what you like but we sold out of the 6500 season tickets on day one of general sale for the coming season and the Cowleys engagement with community and schools etc is phenomenal

If the stewards are decent there is rarely trouble nowadays as we have a fully functioning Lady Imps Supporters Association and flourishing family/junior section ..having said that I foresee many beers, 617 and the drum ..goals from Akinde McCartan and Wharton - best of luck for the season except against us of course

Don't we have a record at the old Wembley? I think that makes us the biggest set of glory hunters in the football league.

I find it astonishing that six of the ten most policed games last season were at our place.
The most policemen inside the ground and immediately outside and around the ground. Really?

Wolvo. We did set a record for most fans from One team attending a final at Wembley. But Millwall did better a couple of seasons later.
It's wrong for people to say Lincoln supporters are glory hunters. Fans will go and watch a team that is playing well, and they have for the last couple of years.
People would be quick to say how poorly a team is supported if fans don't turn up to watch a good team. So can't win really.

Can we have the Redev s*** moved to the right thread?

Yes, we have sold tickets to a big away following but you have a whole thread you can waffle in about it, leave the game threads to be about exactly that, the game.

What does a big away following at Wembley have to do with the redevelopment thread ??
Maybe you should stick to threads about friendly games and leave the competitive games to the big boys  Grin

Was it the Swansea or Grim game? I often boast about this Wembley record but it loses its impact as I’m not not sure which game it was.

It was the Grimsby game. 44,000 was a record ticket sales for one team at Wembley in a final, until Millwall sold near 50,000 i think  for their game a couple of years later later

Was more to do with the comments about lowly League Two and belittling.

But yeah, I think you are right..
