Doubt it Barton, there is due a massive police presence in Moulton on the day of the game as there are reports there may be a cat stuck in a tree. Hopefully the armed response unit will be able to remove it quickly and efficiently?

Lincoln are looking very dangerous - some cracking signings and the nous of Cowley will mean they're surely going to be up there come the end of the season again. Huge test for the opening day.

You want to try getting your facts straight, mate. There are actually two cats stuck up that tree. And in this heat they need the urgent attention of our blues 'n' twos. The call went in Yesterday, so the emergency services should be on the scene about when we kick off against Lincoln.

This will be a very rude welcome to League 2 for some of our players if they are not appropriately prepared. Lincoln will provide a true hoofball test. I don't know how many in their side are below 6ft but I don't think it's many.

I'd just be interested in a cross section of opinion on here to gauge, putting aside unreasonable optimism, where the fan base lie. For what it's worth, I reckon (b).

If we lose no more than two key players, and replace one of those adequately, I'd say (b). Lose five as some are predicting and I really think it could be (d).

I have a lot of faith in Austin, as long as the rug isn't pulled out from under him between now and 9th August!

Our previous returns to L2 have often got off to poor but not disastrous starts which were enough for the manager to be sacked. I wonder if DA will last longer than 10 games.

3 wins from the first 6 games would be an excellent start, we always draw the first game at home and that's how it'll be on Saturday, 1-1 Billy Waters on as a sub getting late equaliser.

Who has said that Crooks wants to leave ?  and "we need to play players who want to be here and who don't only play when they can be bothered, we can't afford to carry passengers" sounds like the perfect description of Powell, the player who has all the attributes but is scared to take people on and won't head the ball.

Powell has been very good in Pre Season, he will contribute more this season for NTFC than Crooks, in my opinion.

Like it or not I reckon van Veen will start. If Austen wants him to stay he'll play him, if he wants him to go he's not going to leave a likely transfer target sitting on the bench for the only game the window is still open.
