Recruitment:
Initial thoughts, obviously not the finances to do much. Biggest positive so far is that Crooks and O’Toole are still here for now. Not sure the point of wasting a loan on Ward is if you can’t find a goalkeeper who is better than the very mediocre Cornell. Odoffin looks average at best and not as good as Facey also with a lack of quality wide players I don’t see Williams getting the goals we need, can see Morias fitting in better to the team with the type of player he is but will have to wait to see how good he is when he plays.
Tactics:
Yesterday’s substations were very worrying, bringing on Bowditch & Bridge ahead of Van Veen, Foleyridiculous
I thought there would have been a case for playing Bowditch behind Williams if Austin was insistent he was pulling JJ back to cover for Shaun Mc. I know he gets slated on here but there's a player in him.
Also, think Cornell should be given a clean slate, he didn't have much to do yesterday but he didn't do anything wrong and his kicking is OK.
We do need the lose a keeper though, having four on the books is ridiculous.
KVV did get to run up and down the touchline for about a minute earlier in the game. But it looked very much like a token gesture by Austin.
