Sacking Dean is not the answer. JED had this team and failed playing poor football, Hasselbaink had this team and failed playing poor football, Dean has this team playing some decent stuff, bar the last two or three results. It is not Dean's fault if someone misses a golden opportunity, it is also not his fault if a player makes a mistake that leads to us conceding. The players are on his side as Buchs has said recently, he said that he is the only one the lads want in and bar Wilder he is the best manager he has worked under at NTFC. Forget all this get rid of DA nonsense, get behind the boys and support EVERYONE on Saturday!

Quite agree on this, sacking the manager again is not the solution, he is a new manager and has to learn how to manage players, he cannot continue to play the same role with them as he did as a trainer. I think this week, looking at the interviews, he has finally realised that and we may get to see him being more of an assertive manager with the players. If he can continue to learn and slowly build this team up then I thnk he will become a good manager for us. In my opinion we need to give him the chance to grow into the role.

The objective of a football match is to win. Failing a win a draw is favorable to a loss. Points not pontificating. Lose against Notts County and Deans win ratio will be the poorest we have seen for years and this is with the vast majority of players that have performed well at a higher level with other clubs. He believes his players are good enough. Show us the points even if the winner comes off the ugliest goal we have ever scored.

Dean Austin opted not to make wholesale changes in the summer. If he had wanted, he could have terminated contracts/ mutual terminations for players. The fact is he believed that this group was good enough and we all know that it isn't.

He'll be gone very quickly after the sale of the club  and we will be better off for it.

If he is willing to make start making big decisions on Saturday by dropping Cornell, Taylor and Buchanan then possibly he has finally started to learn the error of his ways. I wouldn't bet on it though.

I'm sorry but what has Cornell done to warrant being dropped? Imo it is his defenders letting him down, he hasn't done a lot wrong, if O'Donnell had the exact same start to the season no one would be asking for him to be dropped.

How do you know if he had that choice or not, we none of us know what money was made available for changes to the playing staff, or if Austin had any choice of who to get ride of. I assume if he did then Kasim wouldn't still be on the books.

The question to ask is who has done enough to warrant a starting place. Not many at all.

Foley
Cornell
van Veen

All fully deserve to keep the shirt, others to a lesser extent.

Probably the three he will drop now  Grin

I agree also with the last two posts. After the Morecambe and Cheltenham games I managed to lose confidence in DA.
Clearly if players make mistakes and miss decent goal opportunities its hardly his direct fault; inspite of the best efforts of some pundits on here who attach blame to DA at the earliest possible opportunity. The only thing is that he should pick the side who will give 100% effort otherwise he will be criticised again. To me the best way is to give plenty of vocal support throughout.

Must take exception to the above Uncle Ron! Even if we lose on Saturday(God forbid) its not quite the end of the world and according to KT; DA is not going anywhere. Think about, all we need is a couple of wins and most on here will be spouting Championship football ad infinitum. Please support Jamies & Mr Exides posts of maxmising support for this Sat. Dont join the losers outright!

No problem with you disagreeing at all but everyone has a line. Mine is this Saturday. He has my full support at the kick off and I hope he still has it at the end.

Cornell is s***e FACT, his win ratio with us is below 10%, throughout his career 80 games in 10 years he concedes 2 goals per game. When he played a season in Scotland he was never on the winning side.
A poor mans Chris Dunn.
