We should have put out a better side last night .
It’s one of the few competitions you can have a bit of excitement in.
Fans love a draw against a top side .
It’s mugging everyone off playing a reserve side against a team we can beat .

That’s a good point especially as we have the largest squad in the world. I suppose if someone had to drop out Shortly before the game  it would be unfair to drag someone down to Wycombe to watch the game from the bench.

I may have it wrong but I think McWilliams was declared injured we’ll before they travelled, I don’t think it was decided down there

O'Donnell played 19 games for us....was on the winning side 5 times....conceded 32 goals.....kept 2 clean sheets.....
Ingram played 20 games for us......was on the winning side 6 times.....conceded 29 goals.....kept 4 clean sheets.....

Many thanks for the detail. Confirmed my thinking in a way in that it was a really bad decision by JFH to let Ingram go back.

FWIW, I agree with others who say that it's Cornell's shirt to lose right now.

I also feel that the GK position might be the difference between play offs or better, or mid table at best.

This is what some Wycombe supporters thought of the game;

I found it interesting anyway.

Favourite quote from their page ... 'OJ Simpson could get a glove on quicker than Yves.' (their goalkeeper during the shootout)

Phil Neal being a prime example amongst a Liverpool team of players supposedly better able to put the ball into net in open play.
Some of the best penalty takers that I have been involved with have been goalkeepers. A few teams have even used their goalkeeper for in play penalties, although very few for obvious reasons.

Ramos just scored a penalty for Madrid  Tongue

Do you disagree then ?
I mean we don’t get much to look forward to generally speaking and the League Cup has given us some great nights in recent history .
It’s not like we have the Champions League to worry about is it .
I think it’s a shame we put out a weak side that’s all

So did they ! The only thing I would have done is played a bigger player to partner our two small players especially as we returned big time to hoofing it! No wonder some of our contingent started to call for Bayo!!!

Not sure if you are ‘Frank’  as you do not share many of the noble characteristics of Lord Frank. What do you think of Donald as a bloke bearing in mind he is a Cobblers supporter! Do ethnic people get a fair share in the UK? How about Gays ets? HMS Renown, Warspite and Nelson to you with nobs on! To speak authoritatively on here and as suggested by Coolie you should attend some away games as judgements on contentious issues like those raised by Patmore are adequately covered. Try not to answer too many of your own posts as the men in white coats will come a’calling. Best of luck!

I think you have been at the sherry again  Grin
