I am afraid Foley had a disappointing  game last night and looks miles off what is required in L2; for us that is!

Not that surprised sadly. I remember his performance at Scunny in the FA Cup last year being one of the worst individual performances that I had ever seen. Him as back up was one of the biggest reasons for me why keeping Crooks was absolutely critical.

They actually have someone called Reggie Lambe playing for them. Full name
Reginald Everard Vibart Thompson-Lambe.

He’s 11th in line for the throne

Foley is a nothing player.
He does nothing to influence a game , he does nothing you remember , he does nothing particularly wrong , he does nothing to change a game when he comes on and nothing happens when he comes off.
Nothing ..... nothing at all .....

I've been saying this for ages. Contributes nothing, doesn't have a position and is an expert at relegation.

He wasn't he only one in that regard...

Imagine it was just for confidence. If Everbrite is saying how badly he played, I'm very inclined to believe him. He doesn't tend to criticise a performance unless it's really warranted.

I like DA but I hope he doesn’t start patronising supporters by something is good when clearly it’s not .
We were not “fantastic” last night and Foley clearly wasn’t great either .
It’s an insult when managers come out with these things .
Maybe he wants him out on loan !!

I dont think he played badly but managed to have a disappointing evening and gave the ball away far too much.Behind me some were getting somewhat restless with his performance. To me he just looked miles away from 1st team
standard/requirements especially at centre mid. The last thing we want is a CM giving the ball away.

Well that does surprise me Shocked Shocked Shocked
Did Mr Clarity hear it wrong ? or better still was he at the game? If he was at the game he can give his opinion?

Way too early in the season to say the words "a must win game", but does it feel that way to anyone else?

Lost for words on DA’s opinion on team performance and also on Foleys role as CM! Perhaps it was to keep players chins up? Thanks for the link; must have misunderstood Foleys role on the night! Have seen Foley play to a decent standard so hope it was just a one off ‘below par’ performance. Incidentally I did ask if you were there as then could comment on DA’s account of the game! That’s all.

I do think we could cut some players a little more slack when judging their performances.

Since Foley has been here the only time I can remember him having a run of games was when he played wide around January time. I think he did ok, despite his obvious limitations in that role.

It has to be difficult when you've seen little to no game time and you are then thrown in for 90 minutes. If he were to start the next 2 or 3 in centre midfield that would be the time to fairly judge him I think.

Early day, we clearly need a couple of wins, ideally on the bounce, to start to lift the fog that we all seem have over us. I don't thin Austin believes everything he says publicly and probably is saying different privately but he's trying hard to be the antidote to JFH's dour regime.
