Why was Odoffin playing?

Austin needs to work on game management as an urgent priority. That's three times we've failed to hold on to leads for more than about 5- 10 minutes.

I'm also starting to join those questioning why we're conceding so many long range goals.

I don’t think it’s a knee jerk reaction to say that it’s time that Turnbull gets a run at left back - buchs had a mare today (although he didn’t get much help from his midfielders). It’s such a shame that Odoffin dropped that clanger as I thought he played well up to then but I’d be surprised if we see he again for a while.

Buchanan needs to stop the opposing teams right winger occasionally. I can only remember him doing it twice today .Once in the first half when he fouled their player and then once in the second where he won the ball and was then fouled himself. Might be Turnball time. Good team selection and subs today by Austin. We were the better team but the pressure mounts because we can's defend a lead.

Did I really just hear Austin say that Hoskins was “terrific” today?! He gave his usual Hoskins performance lots of work but absolutely no end product - I dread to think what we’d be like with a quality right winger.

Good team selection and subs today by Austin. We were the better team but the pressure mounts because we can's defend a lead.

It doesn’t help when the manager brings on Bowditch, would rather have someone with some work rate and ability to tackle

While I’m not excusing the defenders who were brittle today looking at the midfielders there was only one who has got any kind of defensive inclination - foley - who I thought had a good game. I’m also noticing a habit the players are getting into when we concede in throwing a tantrum at whoever happens to have made a mistake - Ash Taylor against Lincoln and buchs today.

Agree, it's a terrible habit and makes players look like petulant children. It's frustrating when another player makes a mistake, but you can at least make sure you give them useful advice and keep their head in game. Taylor against Lincoln losing his s*** at Odoffin when it was his fault is not acceptable, wouldn't want characters like that in the squad.

We were by far the better side going forward, played some good football, moved the ball quicker than I've seen us do for ages. VV is a class above on today's performance, Foley was excellent as was  Crooks. Powell was decent also. Not  convinced yet about Williams and I lost count of the number of times Hoskins cross or shot was blocked. If we'd have had someone wide right who could cross a ball we would have had that won by halftime today. Bowditch should have replaced Hoskins today.
Defensively, time for Turnbull as already said. Odolphin was having as good a game as any I've seen Facey in until that header.
A huge disappointment that we didn't win.

I know we’re not out of the woods yet until the loan window closes but it’s scary to contemplate a team without crooks and Van Veen. The way we set up and are playing is always going to give the opposition a chance - even against morecambe on Tuesday which is now a must win game I would have no confidence in us keeping a clean sheet. We must be a punters dream for both teams to score.
