But in all seriousness, really poor result again. Honestly not seeing where some of our fans are getting any optimism from? If we score a goal, all a team has to do is attack little bit and they'll equalise within a minute (we're that bad defensively). Unless we see big changes, we're in for a long season.

Pretty dreadful all round in that half culminating with John Joe blasting a sitter over the bar in injury time when he had plenty of time and space, just dreadful. Their outfield player in goal made three decent saves but at least one of the attackers should have done better.

I don't disagree with you, but at what point do we point the finger at the players? A lot of them are already on their third manager...
I said early in the summer that the majority are simply not good enough and therefore wholesale changes were needed. It's f***ing Austin that came out and said 2 or 3 just needed adding. We had the worse defence comfortably in LG1 last year, you cannot just go with the same players and hope for a different outcome, yes the opposition quality has dropped by our issues are STILL there. Exactly the same with creativity going forward and finishing. You keep pkaying hoskins, Cornell, Barnett, Powell etc week in week out, players that are simply not good enough you will get tge same results. He needs to learn and learn quickly or our season will be over and he will be gone. I bet Colchester are licking their lips at pkaying us Saturday |

Radio Northampton awful too. Couldn't hear Tim O with the crowd noise (all 1500) and constant interruptions with travel etc.

For all the plaudits Crooks gets he has still missed 3 sitters in the last 2 games, makes ridiculous attempts on goal, gives the ball away in dangerous positions and makes stupid unnecessary fouls when we are chasing the game.
People have a go at Hoskins but ffs compared with Powell he is a footballing genius.
Tonight’s performance had the tone of a side that simply isn’t up for it - truly awful.
