Having missed their victory against Leics, can anyone explain how Gareth wade ended up with the bowling figures of
0.1 for nine runs at a run rate of 52.94 per over? The mind boggles.

No ball/wide boundary followed by a boundary?

Seen the C&E report, can't work out how he has conceded nine runs from that?

The 1st ball was a no ball (2 runs) and the batsmen also scored 1 run which accounts for three of the runs. The no ball was above waist height meaning the bowler received a warning but it is not a free hit as it would be with a front foot no-ball

The 2nd ball was hit for four and the only legitimate delivery of the over

The third ball was another above waist height beamer (2 runs) and with a second warning the bowler is removed from the attack and unable to bowl again.

That's how the 9 runs are made up.

All in all a horrible campaign for the Steelbacks and unfortunately just like the Cobblers; unable to evolve a successful, winning team

Thanks Poggy, I wasn't aware that they were giving two for a no ball in this competition.

Yes, but still/also against the bowler.

No-balls and wide go against the bowler but listed in extras

Byes and leg byes don't go against the bowler

Most extras scorebook columns have a section for penalty runs which usually don't go against the bowler
