Also Ron spare a thought for those armchair fans who castigated the Manager, Cornell, Buchanan and Taylor on positioning, tackling, tactics etc. Must be a lot of puzzled 'fans' tonight .
I’ve criticised DA but am far from puzzled by us winning at Colchester, I believe we have one of the best squads in the division are more than capable of beating anyone and surely it’s down to the manager to get us consistently playing at this level and not putting out performances like Morecambe.

More than a little pleasing to see so many of this site's experts forced to eat humble pie, after proclaiming the side Deano put out incapable of winning. Still, I doubt it'll shut the miserable f***ers up for long. I think people need to recognize that DA is a new manager, in every sense of the word. Sure, he will make mistakes, but FFS let's start backing him 100%. Give the bloke a chance to succeed. It seems as though certain idiots are willing him to fail, just so they can be proved right.

Enjoyable game. We were well on top until subs made. If it aint broke don't fix it. Nice stadium but no hot food before the game. You do realize Waters scored, right?

Fair enough, but what about games such as Lincoln and Cambridge, where we would have been out of sight with some better finishing? If you are creating chances but missing them, is that still the manager's fault?

Nice stadium maybe - but devoid of any atmosphere. The time of the subs, did coincide with Colchester having their best spell in the game though!

I am puzzled......puzzled as to why we can't put in that sort of performance on a more regular basis!

‘ hate filled comments’ against Cornell which blind yr opinion of current goal keeper are unfair and cruel. Give the bloke a break and support him. Criticism of him is fine and yr entitled to them but you go to extraordinary OTT lengths to prove yr points on Cornell.
On the basis of above comment by you I am happy to withdraw and apologise for any hurt caused to you. This includes mention of bigot remarks. I am happy to discuss the merits/or otherwise of Cornell provided it is fair minded opinion without recourse to bias on both sides. Hope this is ok.
Fair play and no worries. Great result yesterday!

Yes if he picks a front 3 of Williams, Powell & Hoskins!

Yeah, we should batter the opposition every week. Come on Austin, f@cking sort it out! Just out of interest, how much time have you spent analysing the other squads in the division?

Surprised that no one has mentioned the Colchester unsportsmanlike behaviour? Not once but twice!

Not batter everyone but be higher in the league and yes I expect Austin to f@cking sort it out, which he has started doing by dropping 2 of the front three that started the opening game. Yes I have seen most of the other squads in the division and I doubt the majority have 3 players that have made the league 2 team of the year recently

This. I think I'll feel happier when we've put together this kind of performance and obtained this kind of result on a more consistent basis. Stating the obvious I know. But we've had plenty of false dawns. And lets remember, we've only actually won once so far...

Considering he was part of the team that assembled the squad last season, perhaps you could give him credit for that rather than using it as a stick to beat him.

We should have won both home games with decent performances and possibly the two away games with not as good performances, but with still enough chances in the games to have won both. I would prefer us going for games and creating chances than not. We are only 4 games in you know.

Good points people seem to quickly forget last season - we frequently played for over 60 minutes without a single shot on goal. Not the finished item yet but infinitely better to watch than last season.

I noticed that the referee only gave 3 fouls against Colchester all game, that's got to be very near an all time low in League 2 surely ? Mind you, they didn't get penalised when Morias was thrown to the floor by Prosser using both hands to do it and when JJOT was about to meet a cross in front of goal but was "tackled" from behind with the U's man getting nowhere near the ball. I though the officials were very poor, I mean SIX minutes injury time, I think most were expecting 3 or maybe 4 .

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the shocking decisions you see in the lower leagues are part of a wider issue.
I guess the profile is big enough to place spread bets but not big enough to raise suspicions.
Either that or just incompetence

You have seen most of the other squads in the division? After only five games of the season too. And to the extent that you have gathered sufficient knowledge of each of them to rate against our own team? Remarkable commitment. Well done Sir, well done.
