I think we would be more consistent in midfield if from now on we played Foley and McWilliams as the holding midfielders. This would allow Crooks and JJ more licence to create further forward, linking with Van vein and Waters.
I think it worth trying McWilliams & Foley in the midfield holding positions. This would mean Crooks moving wide right replacing Hoskins. Not sure there would be a place for JJOT in this line-up. Perhaps rather than just selecting the reserves for the WW match on Tuesday DA should use the game as an opportunity to experiment with the 1st XI formation.

In my opinion Crooks is wasted when played out wide, JFH proved that to me. I always prefer him in a free role from the centre of the pitch.

That may well be right about Crooks but we are failing consistently to keep clean sheets and we need to shuffle the pack a bit to find the right formation. I don't think we are far away from being a winning side but we are not there yet.

We will be fine. The chances will start to be converted and we will fly up the league. Newport and Yeovil are currently o the top 5 so that shows how poor the overall standard of the league is. What we do need to do is drop Mr undropable (Taylor) and we will start keeping clean sheets.

Which part? It's not only an accurate observation, it's factually correct. Look at the table.

No, it's an opinion, as is yours that it is accurate. So you believe we look like a mid-to bottom half of the table L2 side? Who are the 10-14 League 2 teams who have stronger squads than the Cobblers? The table means practically naff all at this stage, it's barely even worth looking at. Things aren't going their way at the moment. Have lost points to a couple of worldie shots against Carlisle and Cambridge, should have beat Lincoln and dominated again yesterday. The miss in the first half came from two players going for the ball at the same time which sums up the lack of luck at the minute. I've no doubt things will turn soon.

Agree 100% with this, don't convert our chances and always look like conceding at least 1. End of the day, yes it's good austin has got us playing attacking front foot football, but he will be judged on results and where we sit in the table at tge end of the day and that as you say is a bottom end league 2 club, which for me is not good enough.

Spot on. We dominate teams without creating many clear cut chances. We waste possession so much in the final 3rd it's painful to watch.

What we do with it in the final third is criminal at times! Whilst I thought bridge was a but better yesterday, how hoskins gets in the team week i n week out is a mystery.

Well an opportunity to experiment against Wycombe, maybe go with 4-3-3. It would be nice to get JJOT and Shaun back into the team and maybe a Williams/ Waters combination up front with Bridge out wide. I wouldn't be surprised if we hammer them on Tuesday.

Tranmere Rovers' forum to a post, acknowledging (similar to Lincoln's) they got out of jail against a superior Northampton side. Cornell, deservedly gaining plaudits as did the lightning wizard No7, who caused them problems all afternoon! Problem is, away fans don't realise the mercurial Sammy Hoskins misses for fun every week!

Couldn't understand at all what they had given from my position behind the goal. I got the impression he had given offside for one of the first couple of passes from the quickly taken corner.

Apparently It was for a foul in the build up to the goal according to the official Tranmere match report.

It looked like the lino on the East side flagged for offside, he had his flag raised.
