Well, I am listening to Ash Taylor at the minute and he might as well be saying “we are poor little sheep that have lost our way, baa baa baa”.
And back in the stand DA is his echo + it’s the refs fault, I’m off to bed to stare at the ceiling. Still I’m sure the squad will sleep well, every cloud?

DA now claiming we were superb in the first 35 minutes. We were on top but hardly looking like scoring in all honesty. Very unconvincing interview frankly.

Problem is, getting rid of Austen won't change anything. The rot runs deep and throughout the club. A new manager might get the 'bounce' initially but it would soon revert to type.....
....and then we'll be calling for his head.....
and off we go again.

All well and good. It's the last 60 minutes that give cause for concern.

And why has that not been addressed? Each manager failing to see the shortcomings? Head of recruitment not finding anyone? Chairman tightening the purse strings?
In fairness the purse strings were only untightened when the board thought they had secured extra investment. This told a tale of a board that had insufficient funding to run the club to a decent standard without outside investment They failed to get the required outside investment. It therefore follows as night follows day that the club are now back to the situation where the club needs extra investment on top of what the board can manage to help turn the tide. This was my take pre season and what with total stagnation off the pitch led me to the decision not to renew a season ticket. The clues were there in black and white for all to see. In my opinion it also sends out a message to anyone interested in buying the club that they can offer under the odds as the current board cannot continue to fund the club to the necessary standard. That’s my logic and reasoning and I’ve no reason to doubt it. We are back to the DC tightening the purse strings days and running the club at cost so to speak. That’s how I see it If KT doesn’t sell soon his investment may be in reverse and god knows where that will leave us KT has tried his best but it hasn’t worked

Can't argue with that........the 5USports debacle was never fully explained.....lack of due diligence by the club officials? Even then, all that money was blown, by Hasselbaink, Melville or whoever. It was obvious that off the field things aren't right....all the council lease stuff was a smokescreen, three months on from all that drama and no change. A chairman who is rarely in the country, and wil be even less so by his own admission, a money man enjoying retirement in Dubai who was never in it for the long run. On and off the pitch the club is stagnant.......

Sympathy for DA with this bunch. Said it before, not enough players with character at the Club. He's had his hands tied due to being stuck with players signed by previous managers. Whatever he's inherited, the clock is ticking for him. These players will get him the sack.
Great result for the youth team... again. Wish their form would rub off on the 1st team.

As a caveat The club were left in a mess offering players big money contracts when they thought they had extra cash coming in For whatever reason (and I don’t think it’s ever been explained) the Chinese pulled the plug. It is an excuse but a poor bit of management spending the money before it hit the bank. That is also a contributory factor in the mess the club is in imo.

From the official NTFC site......
“I’m delighted for the boys,” he said.
“They have been relentless in their willingness to work hard for each other and they have got a real appetite.
“Everything we are working on in training they are taking into the games and that is really pleasing to see.”
Shame its from Jon Brady, head of the U18's...........seems to be the complete opposite applicable to the senior squad!

this is all well and good, but his post match interview was full of such garbage i am not surprised they don't turn up. there is no plan 'b' and as he said, after 3 games teams have worked out plan 'a' too. can't see anything other than him being on his bike before long. fair play to the interviewer who actually asked some decent questions. to add to this you have the captain who is clearly so far up his own arse he doesn't believe his form has dipped, despite his defence conceded in every single game this season. a shame that interview and subsequent tripe was cut short.

Powell lasted 20 minutes or so!!
Pulled his hamstring while running on to a decent looking ball over the top. Unfortunate as he looked quite lively the short time he was on the pitch.

Imo a couple if things. Firstly the 5USport thing was a good idea that unfortunately went wrong due to investment laws in China. Quite a few other clubs have fallen foul to this. Secondly this team is missing width and a good final ball for starters, KvV and Willow will.score IF you give them service, we dont. The decision to not get any wide player was vert short sighted. While I agree with Sammo that we should give tje manager a good deal of time, football says otherwise. This lot wasn't good enough for L1 and they're not good enough forL2 dispite what individual players might think. DA has to sort this asap, he is on borrowed time.

He signed Williams A, who has proved to be utter criticism ineffective.

Buchanan says he’s the best manager he’s worked with bar wilder and Knill, agree it’s desperate times but he needs more time, I for one didn’t think we’d be anywhere near the top 7 this season but he needs time to implement a style of play that sees us improving week on week. The club is in such a deep rooted hole that it’s going to take a lot of time, Agree that it’s goimg backwards at present though and he needs to react to challenges better in games, plan A is not always going to get u results.

Couldn't be there today, were we just unlucky again?
Does Leon Barnett still think we're going to win the league?

According to DA they took a free kick 7 yards from where it should have been and that made a real difference.

We do NOT have the quality of player to play wingers so change the formation!
McWilliams and Foley can anchor the midfield leaving Crooks and JJ to supply a better quality of ball into the box for Van Vein and Williams and join them in scoring goals!
