So you would drop Cornell for Ward, no question.
You would also drop Taylor but seem to be making excuses not to.

You must have complete faith in Ward. Have you ever seen him play at all?

Difference between Cornell and Taylor Ron is Taylor was very consistent last year (over a season) and some would say our player of the year.

Cornell has been given two or three opportunities of runs in the side under different managers and tge outcome has been consistent  (we haven't won). I've seen him numerous times and he is generally an accident waiting to happen, he fills you with no confidence and all this season we have looked likely to conceed.

I haven't seen accidently lot of ward so it's difficult to compare, I did see a bit on the TV in the confrence last year and tge few games I saw he looked half decent, but it's where we should of gone out and got a proven lg1 keeper and slocombe would have provided that.

I would 100% agree that Taylor was our best player last season.

The problem with that is that the games we are playing now are this season and frankly he has been shocking every time I have seen him play costing us points instead of helping us gain the very few we have, like for instance Cornell and Foley have. Taylor is the captain and thus is meant to lead and galvanize the team, maybe the captaincy is too much for him? Problem is have we got another who is willing and able.

The one player we should have got for this season was the lad from Bradford Nicky Law. He went to Exeter I believe.

Agree with a lot of what you say, the biggest question with Taylor is why the big drop off on form?

Agree about Law, he is exactly the sort we are missing in the middle of the park.

JJOT thought Nicky Law was the best player he faced in the first season back in League One

I think the captaincy should go to Buchanan and let Taylor concentrate on his game instead of thinking cause he’s captain he can moan at players around him when we concede goals

The big thing for me is the fact that he states he is playing like he did last season and hasn't dipped in form. That would suggest he is being told by those around him including his manager that all is well or he is in complete denial. If he had come out and said he needs to improve to get back to his best I am sure that most fans including me would get behind that lad, unfortunately that wasn't the case and he has lost the support of many. Shame.

He has three and a bit days to come out and tell it how it really is. Either that or walk the walk against Vale.

It would help if he did if only to give some credence to his claim.

About as equally amount as it has to do with me I would guess, but you keep bringing it up!

I will however be at the County Ground for our game in early October!

In no particular order, Hereford (where nearly all his wins come from) St Mirren, Oldham and us.

David Cornell has played 19 league games for NTFC resulting in 2 wins during those games.
That's a little over 10% FACT.

Interesting as ROD played 19 games for us and I think most agreed he was quality...I've only had a cursory look so may not be 100% correct but it looks like we only managed 5 wins and 2 clean sheets in that time.

Perhaps the other teams he played for also had hatfuls of chances they didn't convert at the other end. Although this stat is not good, it is not necessarily a direct reflection on his abilities.
