Dr., to take a slightly diverse view, I think this may be a stay of execution.

Sometime, way back, when Clive Walker was boss, I watched an unconvincing draw there.

My post-match interaction as he departed the field of action after the final whistle went along the lines of:

Me: "Well played, Clive.  Good result!"

Clive: "F@ck off".

What a great man for the Cobblers he was.

I think the current incumbent is of similar stout heart!

I’m shocked he used profanity, as I remember Clive had a huge vocabulary?

Mine was in around 94 on a Tuesday night for a Leyland DAF (or similar) fixture. The only thing I remember was one of our former youngsters who’s name escapes me was playing at full back for them, oh and I think we lost? Seem to remember there was a surprisingly good turn out from us lot considering?
Yes, took a load of flags. My old Volvo conked out on the way home. Dodgy geezer towed it to Stafford. Two trips back there, never was fixed...scrapped!  Shocked

I've never actually seen us lose at Vale Park. Would bloody love that run to continue.

Planning on drinking in Stoke before heading to Burslem. Despite the place being a bit of a dump, the Bulls Head is a really good pub which welcomes away pubs so shall be heading there. Also planning to visit the Post Office Vaults.
POV gets rammed but ok. Just over the road, heading towards VP is Bursley Ale House - real and craft ales. Friendly enough and more than decent!
Good luck drinking in Stoke...I've done nearly as well here in Yokohama this afternoon, trying just to get any beer!  Grin

So, what combination of the clown outfit will be worn tomorrow?

Yellow shirt, red shorts, yellow socks?
Yellow shirt, yellow shorts, yellow socks. (with red trim)

Big red boots for everyone?

Ash to perm his flowing locks, and dye them red at the same time?

With the red boots, all that would be needed to complete the piece would be the clown nose!

Not that I think Ash is a clown. I actually think he's still the best defender we have.

Couldn't think of any other member of the first team squad with long enough hair to achieve a perm!

Actually, thinking about it, maybe that's what is lacking in our current 1st XI?

Fair play to you if you do go, but you'd have to be absolutely bonkers to go to Burslem next week and pay actual money to watch us play.

Shouldn’t think those going would endorse your comments. Personally I think anybody going to support the team should be lauded.

I’ve said it before but a lack of facial hair in a squad is directly linked to performance.
Get more beards on the pitch and you’ll see an upturn in form.

Well done on staying on topic
I’m not off anywhere for the foreseeable future as im not very well at the moment.
I’d actually rather be going to burslem than going to hospital today.
Mind you I think both may be painful experiences!!
