Spot on comments, this club is drifting and the players are living on platitudes in the media which only make the pickle we are in seem worse for the supporters

So, Notts haven't won all season and concede on average 3 goals a game. This is surely a shoe-in for a convincing home victory which has been coming all season ( so they tell us).............or we'll do the usual Cobblers thing and hand them the 3 points. What odds on a County victory? Could be tempting.

With all of this being true I still would not be surprised if they start favorites. That is where we are.

Both will score against our defence with ease.

This x 10000.

Waters has to start Saturday.  Wasn't his best at Vale, but still a nuisance, particularly when running at players.

You weren't there yesterday when he came on?

               Ward

Facey Taylor Barnett Buchanan

      McWilliams Foley O'Toole

              Crooks Van Veen

                    Williams

PIicking the team is the easy bit............. GETTING THEM TO GIVE 100% AND WIN.....................HELP!!!!

Is it though? Is Mc Williams fit? I think he would have played yesterday if he was. I also honestly think we should drop Crooks, who flatters to deceive, doesn't get stuck in, except to make stupid and obvious fouls that get him booked and misses sitters. He has the quality but not the attitude and we can't afford to play him in our current predicament. Dropping Crooks also sends a message to the rest that DA is willing to take decisions. So I would drop Crooks and Williams and play Hoskins and O'Toole .......oh and see if we can get a real on-field leader for this bunch on loan sometime during the week.

I would hope to see a scattering of the young lads in the squad this weekend. Joe Iaciofano, Sean Whaler, Morgan Roberts, Jay Williams and McWilliams the younger if fit.

I bet they would show some desire.

Tim Oglethorpe did, rambling on yesterday about getting some loans in to add some bite...

He really does come up with some clueless comments considering he's supposed to be knowledgeable about this sort of stuff....

Even mad Michelle knows the loan window is closed til Jan...probably!

It is looking like a case of shuffling the chairs on the deck of the titanic. Presumably Barnett won't be in contention as he's had a "medical procedure" (whatever that means) so it will be turnbull by default, jjot looks nowhere near right and there is absolutely no pace or width in that forward line. I guess that Austin will turn yet again to the uninspiring bowditch, hopefully whaler might get a chance as he was on the bench on Saturday.

Just get someone who is out of contract to come in and sit in the middle of the park kicking people. Basically a younger Jason Taylor. Sure there must be loads knocking around Wink

Can't JJOT do that? Well he could before he lost his hair.

DA confirmed Barnett will be available next week. A minor procedure that needed a couple of days rest.

Oh, ok - fair enough, I missed that. I’d still rather see Turnbull given a go but unless all of the defenders get a crash course in the basics over the next 5 days I can’t see anything much changing.

Your frequent call for all the above young lads to be included is based on false hopes. Perhaps 1 or 2 could make the bench. To throw inexperienced lads against County smacks of desperation. What DA should be doing is to kick back sides hard over the few days. Train them hard ; success comes from hard work it generally always does.Same in life really.

Odoffin Facey Williams Barnett Turnbull

          McWilliams Foley O'Toole

                   Waters  Williams

I would go with 5 at the back and play a defensive midfield and then use Williams and Waters as a pairing up front, we have to stop leaking goals and Facey can play centre back if needed. I would bring Ward in only because I don't think Cornell is vocal enough with his defence which, I think probably makes them more nervous. I am sure this won't be the line up but its what I think could work.
