Really? I aim for fortnightly PBs in my running training. I'd never get faster/further if I didn't.
Completely off-topic, but that goes against most of the 'expert' advice on how you should train. Running a PB really takes it out of you and recovery takes a while. You can increase foot speed with intervals and endurance by running further, but off race pace. Takes all sorts though!

I guess if you were training for a marathon you wouldn't run a normal marathon in training? My midweek training is now longer distance, slower pace and hills for endurance and stamina. Been doing that for 4-5 weeks and then achieved 3 Parkrun PB's in that time. I know this thread is about Turnbull not running but the Turnbull stuff seemed to 'run' out........

I'd be tempted to give Turnbull a run in the side if we were doing better, because I don't think Buchannan is the player he was when he joined us and has been caught out a few times this season. However, until we get a few wins and some confidence we need the fighters and Buchannan is one of the few who consistenly wears the shirt with real pride and is up for the challenge. If Turnbull's attitude is suspect he's the last thing we need at the moment.

Buchs is a great bloke and Cobblers through and through. He’s a rat up a drainpipe player but can get found out . What infuriated me about him though is that he continually stops the ball when it comes to him and never plays it on the move . It continually means we lose momentum .

Interesting that on the radio Billy Waters picked Turnbull as one of his top six players he's played with or been a supporter of, says JT is unbeaten at 5-a-side. Surely surely worth a run in the first team, wonder what Buchs thought as he was sat next to him when he said it :-) Up the Teyn!

Turnbull is clearly the better player out of him and Buchs. I'd love to see him in a back three (Turnbull Taylor Barnett) with Bunney and Facey as wing backs.

With our lack of wingers this system would be perfect. Bunney in a more advanced role looked decent early doors and assisted a couple of goals. You could then have a midfield 3 of Crooks, O'Toole, McWilliams and VAn Veen and Morias up top. Gk Barnett, Taylor, Turnbull Facey. Bunney McWilliams, O'Toole, Crooks Van Veen, Morias

Wouldn't DA be slaughtered if he left Foley out now? Tough being a manager...

I’d have Foley in ahead of JJOT based on current form.
Same, but I think JJOT needs some more game time. I like the look of the 5-3-2 otherwise.

So you leave out our best player this season by a mile and play a player on a season long loan in Blackpool. Well, it's different I'll give you that.

I forgot about Foley Foley in for O’Toole or a bit of mix and match. As for Bunney, it won’t happen but with our chronic lack of width it could be an option.

I think we can expect Turnbull back in the starting 11 now. I wonder if we'll ever see Kasim play again?

Maybe, maybe not. I can't see many changes from Saturday's team, KC will get advice from Chris Day but what can we really expect when he's only been appointed a day before a game. He probably won't have seen them train, let alone do anything tactical. Motivational team talk and players wanting to impress is all we can expect tomorrow. But good luck Keith, may you be successful.

The way some players have played this season, I would not be adverse to giving him another go.
