Here we bloody go again! I hope the players hang their heads in shame! A good man looses his job and we look like a pathetic football club. Do we really think anyone else is going to sort this out?

Kevin Wilkin?

I'd go Gary Bowyer though.

A few things which we need to avoid IMHO:

1. Appointing the caretaker i.e. Brady. I think the players were too comfortable with Austin.
2. Appointing a 'big name'. The last thing we need is another JFH who favours technical aptitude over fight. League Two experience needed.
3. Appointing a non-league manager. Again, League Two experience needed.
4. Appointing a 'nice guy'. Ruthless disciplinarian needed.

In conclusion, we need an experienced disciplinarian who will be ruthless in shifting deadwood and dropping underperformers, regardless of reputation.

I'm guessing that this leads us to Bowyer - I've no idea if he is a disciplinarian or not and it would depend on whether he wants to go from working under Oyston at Blackpool to working for us with the ownership as it is.  Another thing we need to avoid is the gimmick, young, foreign manager/coach that is in vogue.

The only thing that's worked in a long time is prising a manager from another club who is doing well. I suggest we try the same route. Look at managers who have been performing well for some time and are probably not paid over the odds and might be interested in a move. I would go for Ardley or Coleman.

Good luck to DA. The players that got you sacked are a disgrace. Hopefully, they won't be far behind you.

Our players need a manager that takes no nonsense. We probably can't afford Mick McCarthy so will have to find a cheap version.

I agree entirely with the principle but would that be enough to attract the higher caliber of candidates?

A valid point, but on the flip side we can point out that if they're successful it's far easier for them to move to a better club as Wilder did.

Right decision but boy should that shamble of a team hold their heads in shame at being the biggest contributor to costing the man his job.

He'll be back in coaching soon hopefully and he'll have learned a massive lesson from his time in charge, mainly if a players attitude is wrong then get rid/

I hope the ownership is sorted out shortly and we can look to build again.
