So Keith Curle announced this afternoon, could be just the appointment we need at the moment given his track record.

Good appointment I'd say. Despite your views though, lets get behind him!

No one knew of this appointment until this afternoon, including staff. I have never liked Curle since his days at Mansfield and think he’s arrogant . Let’s see what the new chapter brings

Good...after finding out a bit more about the guy, I am neither excited nor dissappointed about KC's appointment.
Looking through earlier and some peoples objections to him, I assume that is all based on his 2016 comments about us. But that aside he is probably as fitting an appointment as we can expect - Not a big name and hopefully more of a Kool Keith to get us back on track.
Get behind him - and that is as much directed to the players who need to wake up to the reality of their careers!

We need to be realistic - another relegation would be a disaster I don’t think we would recover from - as long as we are safe come the end of the season job done. Then a long overdue clear out and reset before next season!

Carlisle forum saying we should have appointed him in the summer and suggesting we held talks with him before Austin got the job.

Forever known with me as being the ‘scrap metal man’ from his playing days. Let’s see how much honeymoon he gets with this bunch of wasters. 3 points tomorrow will be the ideal start to see how much they want it.

Pleased an appointment has been made quickly.
Have to wander if anything was going on in the background, to have this tied up so quickly though.

Win percentage at their Last two jobs in the FL before joining : Wilder 41.5 % Page 37.5% Edinburgh 39% JFH 44% (27% at QPR) Curle 41.7%
Other than JFH who's record was hugely inflated by taking over a successful Burton team. HE has the best record in his last two league jobs out of our last 5 managers.
Wilders record is also inflated by his time in non-league with Oxford.

Having been excited by the last 3 appointments only to be hopelessly disappointed later on, I will simply wait and see this time.

I wouldn’t at all be surprised if we’re discussing giving him a transfer window. If he can start getting some decent results with this bunch he deserves the freedom of the town.

It all looks very promising. Considering our fans were happy with a manager with a 10% win ratio for Farnborough, I can't understand the negative attitude towards a manager with a plus 40% ratio in league two. His former clubs fans rate him, and he has a track record of stabilising under performing sides.
