Not at all. Variety is good.
Short corners where the ball never makes it into the box is as inexcusable as corners hitting the first man.
We don't have a specialist, but it should be something pretty easy to work on at the training ground.
These days looping corners to the box are considered a waste of time. You've either got to hit it beyond the goal area hoping an attacker will head it back in to the mix or shave the top of first man. This is probably the corner you hate when it's not pin point and the front man gets it.
Hoskins hit it perfectly at Swindon when he crossed for JJ to tap it in - a real skill.
I agree with you that short corners are generally a waste of time. The end result is usually a cross that could have been done from the start. It would be interesting to see stats that show goals from short corners.
