I admit I am not a great fan of Curle after previous disparaging comments he has made about the Cobblers when he was at Mansfield and Carlisle plus his connections with that Yorkshire nutter Warnock but can I make a plea to hold fire for three months in giving him the once over and commenting on how good or indifferent he is since he took over at the Cobblers.
Thomas' track record in appointing new managers at the Cobblers has not stacked up , lets hope this time Curle delivers the goods , the most positive thing in his favour is the amount of managerial league experience he brings compared to his recent predecessors, lets hope this factor alone helps him turn things around at Sixfields.
Let the guy get on with the job and lets have a look at the end of January and see what his short term efforts have been,I am sure Radio Noddy wont leave him alone,it is beyond their wisdom to do so.Classic gaffe on listening to their commentary on the Bury game is that they fouled up in understanding the result of the Macclesfield game when on Tinternet it was there for all to be seen.

Let's hope he winds up all other 23 sets of fans and their respective teams in this division, and buys an advantage for us!
Keith Curle is the best man for the job in hand!
A master-stroke from Kelvin Thomas to get him through the door.
I'm glad he's had a few weeks of untroubled rest, ready for a bit of hard graft with our lot.

That collection of words; stroke, master, hand and job...are a little disturbing Crotchless!

I like that nutter Warnock, he gets results and does what he's tasked with.
Sure he may some silly things but who would care as long as he's delivering results.
What Curle has said in the past when in charge of other clubs should be disregarded, every manager says things about opposition teams to stoke the fires, it's EFL fourplay.

We have idiots who wanted Austin in. The same idiots hated the fact we got Curle in. That's enough for me to know he's the right man for the job

Not saying Curle is necessarily the wrong man for the job just lets stop harping on about what he does or does not do until the new year and let him get on with the job. As for people praising the merits of the Yorkshire Nutter Warnock well as they say up North "There's nowt so queer as folk."

Ive never heard desperation being described as a master stroke before? Now selling our club immediately to more progressive owners would be a master stroke

I'm not a fan of appointing caretaker managers... It tends to always work out in similar fashion (Sc***horpe had basically the exact same thing happen at the exact same time).

We're basically a basket case at the moment. We need to give a manager time ,preferably a few transfer windows , to build his team , not the mish mash we have now. I feel we're in a holding pattern for now, until new owners and the January window come along. It could get worse before it gets betters 😱

How long have you been a Cobblers fan? It does get better occasionally but then it gets worse again, then in a few more years better then worse again.

The occasional better is usually ridiculously better and the worse is usually shyter than shyte. Sometimes followed with a bit of mediocrity then worse than so much better its untrue. It's just that the better isn't as often as the mediocrity and the worse.
