Interesting to see who starts this game .
I think he will play VV with Hoskins up front although it didn’t work versus Bury.
Facey , Turnbull and Pierre at the back with McWilliams and Buchs .
Personally I would rather see McWilliams alongside Foley in midfield , crooks pushing on and JJOT on the bench .
I just hope someone doesn’t take us apart with players out of position.
I thought Bridge looked OK in the LWB role when he came on v Oxford. I think he may be more suited to the position than Buchs. I love Buchs to bits but he is first and foremost a LB in a back 4.

I agree with most of this - Van Veen is clearly more of a goal threat than Williams but Williams puts a real shift in. Also I don’t like it when Hoskins and VV are a partnership as for some reason Hoskins plays as the centre forward while VV drops off which completely isolated Sam.

It was noticeable on Tuesday the extra effort vV appeared to put in after he had scored, although he had dropped back into more of a number 10 role.
He effectively assisted himself for the goal, albeit he was winning the ball back after he had mis-controlled it.

I'd get Bunney back if we can and if his fit.

If we are going for this system then it fits him perfectly!

Bunney gets a nose bleed whenever  he moves south, he misses his mothers cooking too much, best leave him where he is to see out his fat contract at the Cobblers and carry on with his George Formby impersonations.

I am not saying players can’t convert position but sometimes they can look great the first time they play there and then get totally exposed as teams work out their weaknesses .
This happens so often with wing backs .
Looking at what we have now , I do think Moloney left a year too early , despite his injury issues . He was an excellent link player going forward

Again all about opinions, but I thought maloney looked s shadow of hus former self last year and it was the correct call to let him go. He did have bad luck with injuries tho.

I shall not be attending today's top 4th division game at Sixfields as I shall be watching Wroxham ay Great Yarmouth in the FA Vase 1st round.

Poor McWilliams can’t seem to get a run of starts, Waters or Hoskins at RWB.

No start for our top scorer either, despite the midweek strike.

Sun is out though, up the Cobblers.
