Will probably take the plunge and go up for game tomorrow night.  An important game in my opinion which I treat it some trepidation as I believe we are just as likely to win easily as we are to be on the wrong end of a result, it all depends on what NTFC turns up. Whatever, the mid-field will need to be more dominant than it was on Saturday, when I thought we were overrun for long periods but hope that return of Crooks might help in that respect. Finishing must improve as well - the Powell miss was a shocker. On Powell I was surprised to hear the generous reception he got from the MK fans when he took to the field as substitute - would they like him back?

He went for the near post when he might/should have placed it wide of near post. IMO it was a bad miss as it was our only true chance! Would vV have scored from that chance?

Why was the Powell miss a shocker?
It was a one on one and he should have scored .
Our finishing overall is appalling .
How often do the likes of Powell , Hoskins and Crooks who are the main culprits stay behind after training and work solely on hitting the target ?
I watch the warm ups before the game and the difference between The likes of Van Veen and previously Rico and the rest is very noticeable

The bench on Saturday was the weakest for a long time and it’s a concern

Is it. You could well be underestimating some of the young lads there BS.

Yes , maybe I am but to have three untried players on the bench is not the best by anyone’s standards .

Just about how most of us feel - sheer trepidation!

I think by 'wide of the post', Evers meant on target to the left of the post...bit bizarrely ambiguous a comment certainly!  Grin

Have a feeling you may be waiting a while...The one criticism Carlisle fans had with Curle was that he never gave youth a chance.

Quite right Coolie - should have gone well to the left of said post. Sincere apologies for the totally ambiguous comment.
Still think he should have scored - looked a bad miss to me.

Yes, a little mad I agree...the Peak District is garbage!  Grin

Seriously though, Blue John Caves worth a visit, on the Buxton side of the District.

Funny that; was wondering if you actually witnessed Powell's miss. Normally you are a reliable guide to onfield events! Without any wish to prolong an irrelevant point I am still of the opinion that it was a bad miss by Powell.  Its a view shared by quite a few there.
