1.8 points per game from final 31 games would give us 71 points, which on current form over last 6 games suggest we could. Obviously we would need to put together a long winning run or 2 to make up on lost ground and hope to be just outside the playoffs after the Christmas fixtures. I believe theres a very capable manager in charge, fighting spirit within the team, a bit of depth with some promising young players breaking through, Morias nearing fitness and a January window to strengthen, it's very doable. But by my reckoning, Oldham has now become a must win game😂

Possible yes. Likely no. Curly probably needs a bit more time. As an aside, Morias was playing goalkeeper with the kids, on the market square this afternoon. He was clearly enjoying himself, and very enthusiastic. I did chuckle when I walked past him though, as two of the brats towered above him.

I must say its testament to how well the new manager has started for people to turn a relegation battle into a promotion one after a single win. Personally I'm waiting until the Christmas period is over and having a look at the table then before getting any hopes up.

I think the fact that the other teams in this league at the moment are so poor that it will always give teams hope of climbing the table.
For us to do it we would need to go on good run of winning 5 or 6 games on the trot and avoid another slump. For me I don't think we'll do it.
From KC's perspective, this season is almost a free reign and as long as there is a gradual improvement on the pitch he can set his targets higher next season once he's stamped his authority on he squad.

Let's wait until Xmas before we make an assessment of our potential for the rest of the season. By then we will see if this start is the new manager bounce or a really genuine improvement.

I don’t think so . We have to build for next season in my view . We were outclassed by MK last weekend and have some way to go yet . There needs to be some churn before we are true threat

Which bit 'didn't you think so', there was more than just the one option/suggestion?

No as I think we will sell any assets of value in jan to keep us afloat unless a takeover is in place. I think we need to get as many points as possible pre christmas

What makes you say that, Shoey? KT has said there are no financial issues with the club under his stewardship. Are you doubting his word?
On the thread itself, nothing is impossible but morale boosting though the thumping win was at Macclesfield let's not get carried away. We were second best to MK by some distance it seems so the Donkeys may be a better benchmark than Macc.

On Tuesday night, Carlisle drew 2-2 away at table topping Lincoln. The previous Saturday they lost 1-2 at table scraping Macclesfield. This only goes to show this league is a lot more even than you may think.
I agree that on the day, unfortunately, we were outclassed by MK. However, I believe that on our day, we could beat anyone in this league, and it is up to Curle to convince the players of this fact. So why not target the play-offs.

Yes it's possible, Plymouth proved that last year.
But very unlikely I'd say

It just reminds me of the DC situation where he continued to run the club but only to a basic level KT seems less hands on now than before and gives the impression he’d rather someone else put money into the club rather than funding anything extra himself. Just the impression I get, nothing more, nothing less
