Next up is the conclusion of the group stages of the EFL Trophy or Checkatrade. A win should see us progress but it may also depend on the Wycombe v Oxford game result.

Maybe, a few of the youngsters? But I can see KC going with a strong(ish) team and hoping to keep the momentum going.

Not flying over for it then? I thought you were a fan!  Tongue

Expect to see Ward in goal and a smattering of younger squad players starting. Morias on the bench?

Never go to these but will on Tuesday...only a fiver and actually enjoying watching us now.

With Foley and JJOT out I'm sure young Jay Williams will make his full debut for us.
Reckon Cam McWilliams, Scott Pollock & Morgan Roberts might also be in the team or on the bench.

Hopefully, keeping the winning mentality going ready for Battle Royale with Lincoln on Sat!

As hilarious as it would be to see Kasim blowing out of his *ss for 90 minutes against a group of young lads , seeing a few youngsters make their debuts would be more productive tonight .
Williams hopefully will play and it would be good to see what  Iacafano is all about after all this time .

Williams should make his full debut tonight for sure, either at CB or more likely in the middle of the park.

Hope that McWilliams 2 and Whaler get starts also.

Productive !! - pretty sure it’s KC intention to progress in the competition if only to gain the financial rewards? The longer we remain in, better chance for the youngsters to be involved. KC may also wish to keep the good  run going.

Let’s not forget the run started with a win from behind at Oxford and winning is a habit .
Having said that , we have lads that are no longer youth players but not getting any game time due to there being no under 21 side . These have to get a run out I would have thought .
Next year this really needs looking at with the crop we have coming through otherwise the momentum is lost  .

Hopefully, a crowd of nearer 2000 will turn up!

I've never been to one of these games before but the team are playing well and we've some cracking youth players coming through.
A fair few will more than likely play and this competition might be the only realistic chance to see them get some minutes in a competitive 1st team match.

Only a fiver & beats sitting indoors

Looking forward to it...

I have a moral dilemma on this one because I agree with boycotting the competition in its current format but would like to see the young lads play in a competitive game .....
Hmmmm the thought of being made to watch Made In Chelsea or some such tripe has made me waiver all principles ..... plus the thought of a mid week pint ...

Go and watch the FA youth cup fixture next week.

The Chuckletrade is not a first team competition, that's why suspensions don't count in league fixtures. It's a barely glorified training game.

Endorse Shaun Harvey's latest brainfart of an attempt to suck up to the PL, or spend money watching our own youth team. I know what I would rather do.

That's your prerogative but lifes too short...

You just stay at home fuming as to what a shambolic competition the Checkertrade trophy is (and I agree by the way)
and i'll attend tonight watching some of our talented youth play in a competitive 1st team game.

I attended the last youth team cup game and will again next week but it's not comparable to tonight game imo

Yes , I’m aware of that but it’s good to see how these lads perform with and against players of first team standard .
All good stuff though .

I won't be fuming anywhere don't worry  Grin

But the facts are that it isn't a first team fixture, and the opponent is not a first team opponent. Most PL clubs farm out players who are ready for 1st team football at any level on loan, so what happens is that the Chuckletrade U21 teams are a mish-mash of the 3 allowable over-age players and some youth teamers.

Appreciate your stance but I just wanna see a football match, it will be competitive (on our part) as we need to win to progress...
If Fulham play loads of 16 year old kids I don't care as we should then batter them and we'll get to see some goals...

KC has created real positivity since he came in and i'm happy to ride the wave
